BOONE — Former Appalachian State guard Ronshad Shabazz will play for the Philadelphia 76ers’ summer league team June 29.

The 76ers’ Summer League team will play four games starting Friday in Las Vegas. The NBA Summer League Tournament will follow from July 12-15.

The games will be broadcast on ESPN platforms or on NBA TV.

Shabazz finished his career at Appalachian State with 2,067 points, which is second all-time. He averaged 18.3 in the 2018-19 season, which led the team, and also handed out 75 assists. Shabazz scored a career-high 47 points on Feb. 28 at Louisiana-Monroe by making a career-high 17 baskets and a program-record tying 10 3-pointers.

He declared for the NBA draft in April before the 2018-19 season, but did not hire an agent and chose to stay at Appalachian State for his senior season.
