BOONE — Former Appalachian State long-snapper Keaton Forbes announced on Twitter that he is transferring to East Carolina.

Forbes made his announcement on April 4.

“Couldn’t be more excited to announce that I am transferring and continuing my football career at East Carolina University!!! I’ll never forget the memories and friendships I’ve made at App but can’t wait for this next chapter,” Forbes tweeted.

Forbes, who is Sanford and prepped at Lee County, redshirted as a true freshman in 2018. He played against Charlotte in App State’s 45-9 win over the 49ers and also played in App State’s win over Middle Tennessee State in the New Orleans Bowl.
