Appalachian State recruiting

BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. — Christian Horn, a receiver from Blythewood, S.C., has committed to play football at Appalachian State, according to media outlets and his Twitter account.

Horn is the first receiver from App State’s recruiting class of 2020 to commit to the Mountaineers.

Horn, who prepped at Westwood High School, made his commitment on July 18. A 6-foot-1, 170-pound receiver, Horn is a three-sport athlete. He is rated a two-star football player by the recruiting website 24/7sports, which said that App State made an offer to Horn on June 12.

Horn also played quarterback for Westwood, but has still piled up more than 1,000 career receiving yards, according to 24/7sports. The website also reported that Horn finished second in the South Carolina 4A 400-meter state championships with a time of 48.96 seconds.

Horn, the third recruit from South Carolina from the class of 2020 to commit to App State, also played basketball for Westwood.
