Chiarolanzio

Jacqueline Renz Chiarolanzio was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 2, 1938 and passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the age of 82.

She was the daughter of Robert H. Renz and Ann (King) Renz.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Carl N. Chiarolanzio, her parents, her daughter, Deborah Chiera and grandson, Dominick Chiarolanzio.

She is survived by four children, Diana Olmstead (Jim) of La Jolla, CA, Kathryn Chiarolanzio (Jerry Smith) of Stoneville, NC, Richard Chiarolanzio (Kathy) of VA, Carl Chiarolanzio III (Dawn) of Deep Gap, NC, and Christine Picillo (Ross) of Simpsonville, SC; 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; sister, Christine O’Connell; brother-in-law, Joseph Chiarolanzio (Antoinette, deceased); and sister-in-law, Carol Kitchell (Joseph).

Jacky and her husband, Carl, enjoyed living in NJ, NC, SC and FL where they operated various businesses over the years; a restaurant, deli, ceramic studio, landscaping business and a plumbing business. Jacky was also a head bank teller and a travel tour guide. Jacky loved to sew, quilt, read, cook and travel, especially on cruise ships. She was a devout Catholic who served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, as well as a Girl Scout Leader and Social Activities Committee member in La Buona Vita. She recently enjoyed bingo, movie nights, and conversations with her new friends at Overture Greenville.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. Wherever she went she made lifelong friends.

An Internment Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021 at St. Elizabeth of the Hill Country Catholic Church, 259 Pilgrims Way, Boone, NC 28607.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Catholic Charities, www.catholiccharitiesusa.org or Hospice of the Foothills @ 864-885-7912.
