Blowing Rock hosted its annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, Nov. 26 this year following the Lighting of the Town on Friday, Nov. 25. The parade is a big holiday tradition filled with holiday cheer to get community members in the Christmas spirit.
People come from all over the High Country travel to Blowing Rock to experience the parade. The Blowing Rock Christmas Parade is one of the longest in the area with floats, music and performers that travel down Main Street. Blowing Rock mayor Charlie Sellers led the parade, and was followed by floats made by community members from the Watauga Humane Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, fire station and many more organizations.Â
