Joe Shannon’s Mountain Home Music will be hosting the return of Boone native Jeff Little and his trio at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 20. Little is a bluegrass, blues, honky-tonk, jazz, rock-n-roll piano player, who was inducted into the Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame in 2014.
“There has been a recent shake-up in the members of the Jeff Little Trio. Longtime band member Josh Scott has ‘retired’ to focus on his full-time job as a house builder,” Rodney Sutton, director of JSMHM, announces. “But Jeff did not have to look far to find a third member for the trio — his son, Luke, has been joining him on stage for years and now has become a full-fledge member of the trio”.
Steve Lewis, two-time National Banjo Champion and guitar phenom, adds his hot licks to the mix as the third member of this trio.
The concert will take place at the Harvest House, located at 247 Boone Heights Drive in Boone. Tickets are $18 with advance purchase and $20 at the door. Student tickets are $5.
