The Lucky Strikes trio, featuring Jim Fleri, Wes Saylors and Rusty Blanton, will be the second band featured in Ashe County’s Back Street concert series.

WEST JEFFERSON – The Lucky Strikes Trio will perform at the second Backstreet Concert for 2019 at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7.

The Lucky Strikes Trio includes Jim Fleri on keyboard, bass and vocals; Wes Saylors on percussion and vocals and Rusty Blanton on guitar and vocals. They will perform special arrangements of popular songs from The Lucky Strikes Orchestra’s song list as well as selections unique to the trio. Fun, toe-tappin’ music ranging from Motown, beach and blues to classic rock ‘n’ roll ‘50s-’70s.

Should it rain, the concert will move to the Ashe County Library or City Hall. This concert is individually sponsored by the Town of West Jefferson.

The West Jefferson Community Partnership is an organization made up of businesses, non-profits and individuals interested in promoting the town of West Jefferson. It meets at City Hall at 8:30 a.m. on the fourth Friday of every month. People interested in getting involved in the town are invited to attend. Participating organizations include Ashe County Arts Council, Ashe County Chamber of Commerce, Ashe County Public Library, Keep Ashe Beautiful, Christmas in July, St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Florence Thomas Art School, Keep Ashe Beautiful, The Hotel Tavern, West Jefferson Tourism Development Authority, Town of West Jefferson and West Jefferson Business Association.
