COVE CREEK — Local Publix managers, High Country United Way and Watauga County Public Library representatives were on hand for the installation for one of four Little Free Libraries at the Old Cove Creek School site on May 7.

Publix Stores have built over 100 Little Free Libraries and donated them to the United Ways in their communities. Each library will come with $100 worth of new books.

Publix Three Creeks manager Joel Wise and assistant store manager Mark Taggart installed the Little Free Library, stocking it with books for local children to enjoy.

Marcia Blake will be the steward of the Cove Creek Little Free Library. The locations of the three other Little Free Libraries donated by Publix are at Mabel Methodist Church, Plan B in Meat Camp and White Laurel across from the Hospitality House in Boone.
