The annual Boone Christmas parade will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5. The parade will start at the Watauga County Human Services Center located on the Poplar Grove Road Connector and will end at the Appalachian State University Legends parking lot off of Hardin Street.

The parade will consist of a procession down King Street, complete with decorated floats, local celebrities, dance troupes, music and a special appearance from Santa Claus.

Hot cider and cookies will be available after the parade at the Jones House Cultural and Community Center.

All downtown businesses, merchants, community groups and organizations are encouraged to participate by the Department of Cultural Resources.

Those who wish to participate in the parade should fill out a registration form and send it via mail or email to Virginia Falck, downtown coordinator, at virginia.falck@townofboone.net.
