Town of Boone Meeting Notice The Boone Planning Commission will hold its regular meeting on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. via WebEx. Watch the Meeting: Anyone can view the meeting live at: https://townofboone.viebit.com/?folder=ALL Participate in Meeting: Individuals who wish to speak during public comment can do so through WebEx either online or by phone. To do so, email Jane Shook, Director of Planning & Inspections at jane.shook@townofboone.net or call 828-268-6960 and you will be provided with an invite to the meeting. All registrations must be completed by 5:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting. Individuals who require user assistance registering or joining the WebEx event on the night of the meeting can call 828-268-6960 for support. Written comments will be accepted until 24 hours after the hearing and may be emailed to jane.shook@townofboone.net or delivered to the secure drop-off box located to the side of Boone Town Hall at 567 W. King Street. At the beginning of the meeting Planning Commission will hold a joint public hearing with Town Council on the following cases: 1. Case PL04797-060921: John Muter, on behalf of Watauga County, has filed a Conditional District Zoning Map Amendment Application to rezone 842 West King Street from B1 Central Business to Conditional District B1 Central Business for a site specific approval for Use 5.16 Government Facility. 2. Case PL04835-062221: The Town of Boone has initiated the zoning of 243/245 Bamboo Road and 148 Hampton Trailer Court owned by A&R Mountain Properties to R3 Multiple-Family, WS-IV Watershed Areas Protected Area, and Special Flood Hazard Area. 3. Case PL04893-070721 and PL04894-070721: Blue Ridge Tourist Court, LLC has filed Local Historic Landmark Applications to designate the properties at 560/574 Old East King Street and at 187/191 Cecil Miller Road as a Local Historic Landmark. Following the public hearing, the Planning Commission will consider the cases above.
