GRIEFSHARE SUPPORT GROUP | AUG 28-DEC 11 | 6:15 PM | MOUNT VERNON BAPTIST CHURCH | ROOM 1304

Life changes forever when a loved one dies, and daily emotions and challenges can seem too hard to bear; find help at GriefShare. Gain godly wisdom from professional counselors as well as others via video, and talk and pray with our caring MVBC leadership team as well as others who are grieving.

GriefShare runs from AUG 28-DEC 11, to provide help and encouragement after the death of a loved one, whatever the relationship and no matter how long ago they passed away; these friendly, caring, weekly meetings are designed to help you rebuild your life.

If you'd like to take part in our support group this fall, contact us today, 828.266.9700. Childcare is available, but please register children by contacting us so we can be prepared for them.

Our group is affiliated with the national GriefShare: Grief Recovery Support Group; this is a biblical, Christ-centered approach to grief. Each session utilizes video messages as a portion of the GriefShare curriculum, along with small group time to process the video material.

The “semester” (13 weeks) of GriefShare began AUG 28. We meet on Wednesdays at 6:15 p.m. in room 1304 of our church which is located at 3505 Bamboo Road, Boone. A participant need not feel committed to all 13 weeks--folks can attend any or all sessions, and may begin at any time! The enrollment fee is $15.00 (for the cost of the workbook) and "scholarships" or a fee waiver is available if needed.

Some who attend find it comforting to bring along a supportive friend or family member, at least at first, and we welcome this; however, others may choose to attend on their own which is perfectly fine as well, we ask that all attending register. And we really hope that anyone who has lost a loved one will find help, comfort, and hope by attending GriefShare with us.
