Learn how to meditate in the new year or deepen your existing meditation practice while learning how meditation changes the brain and body?

Join us for a 4 class Meditation as Medicine series on Sunday afternoons at Neighborhood Yoga’s King Street Studio.

Learn a powerful meditation technique that combines intention, breath awareness, mantra (silent word repetition,) and internal third eye gazing that has been passed down through the lineage of Paramahansa Yogananda.

Attendance at all 4 classes is recommended as each class builds on the previous class.

Cultivating comfort and ease in this style of meditation, we will begin with short meditation sessions and gradually increase the length of meditations while cultivating the ability to move into states of deep meditation (super-consciousness.)

You will also have the opportunity to do a 30 day home meditation challenge that spans the four weeks of the class series.

Torre Hinnant, MD, RYT- 500

Torre has taught yoga and meditation practices for over 20 years. Her in-depth knowledge of body mechanics and her innate understanding of the subtle flow of energy through posture and breath allow her to guide her students into an experience of peace and ease in their yoga practice. She teaches a holistic and spiritual form of yoga that emphasizes integration of body, mind, and spirit through breath, mindful movement, posture, relaxation and meditation.
