Join the Hemlock Restoration Initiative and the Grandfather Mountain Stewardship Foundation (GMSF) as we visit some of the hemlocks on their protected piece of the area. While taking in the natural beauty, we will learn about the role of hemlocks in the ecosystem and the threats they face. GMSF staff will share about what they have done to protect hemlocks and how their efforts fit into the larger landscape of hemlock restoration in the area. The hike will be about three miles long over rugged terrain. Details to RSVP are at
