Olsen, Wilma Lee, D.

Mrs. Wilma Lee Dugger Olsen, 95, of Temecula, Calif., and a former resident of Watauga County, died Nov. 22, 2004, at Lafayette Home Care in Murrieta, Calif.

She was born Aug. 21, 1910 in Butler, Tenn., a daughter of Samuel and Jane Cable Dugger.

Mrs. Olsen lived in Watauga County prior to moving to New York, where she met and married Warner Olsen in 1958.

Survivors include three sisters, Ruby Fisher of Dover, Ohio, Mary Robinson of Temecula, Calif. and Sammie Lott of King City, Ore.; and two brothers, Oran Dugger of Burnsville and Carl Dugger of Owensboro, Ky.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warner Olsen; and two sisters, Marie Farthing and Rose Cornett.

She had no children of her own, but because of her love for children, she supported an orphanage. She was known as a wonderful cook, a loving, giving Christian lady, and her family and friends will truly miss her.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday morning, Jan. 8, at 11 o’clock at the Beaver Dam Baptist Church.

Officiating will be the Rev. Richard Muri and the Rev. Mark Tyre. Burial will follow in the Upper Beaver Dam Cemetery.
