Mrs. Georgia Waugh Wilson, 92, of McLean Drive, Lenoir, died Dec. 31, 2004, at Shaire Center.
She was born Sept. 28, 1912 in Ashe County, N.C., to the late Charlie Waugh and Zora Bledsoe Waugh.
Mrs. Wilson was a retired school teacher. She taught for 30 years and retired from West Lenoir in 1973. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lenoir, where she served as Sunday School teacher and a UMW member.
Survivors include her husband, Owen Craig Wilson Sr.; one son, Owen C. Wilson Jr. and wife, Carolyn, of Lenoir; one granddaughter, Tamara H. Wilson and husband, Brian, of Mooresville; three grandsons, Dane B. Howard and wife, Susan, of Davidson, Owen C. Wilson III and wife, Mary, of Lenoir, and Wesley W. Wilson and wife, Charity, of Lenoir; six great-grandchildren, Shannon Wilson, Jake Wilson, Landon Howard, Tanner Howard, Shelby Wilson and Dillon Wilson.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by one daughter, Beverly McKeithen; four brothers, Howard, Harris, Walter and Charlie Waugh; and one sister, Kittie W. Clark.
Services were conducted Monday morning at 11 a.m., at the Pendry Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. John Fowler and the Rev. Marietta Smith officiating. Burial followed in Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
