Mr. Guy Eugene Lentz, 62, of Circle L Drive, Blowing Rock, died Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 28, 2004, at Watauga Medical Center.
He was born August 9, 1942, in Watauga County, a son of the late Ralph Eugene “Gene” and Ruth Edmisten Lentz.
Mr. Lentz was a farmer and had previously owned and operated the Blowing Rock Amoco. He was a member of Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Deloris Guy Lentz; two sons, Stewart Lentz of Blowing Rock and Ralph Lentz of Deep Gap; three sisters, Recie Craig, Nancy Trexler and husband, Earl, and Mary Lentz, all of Blowing Rock; two brothers, Carter Lentz and Lewis Lentz, both of Blowing Rock; a special friend, Jim Klutz of Charlotte; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted Friday morning at 11 o’clock at the Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Larry Lyon and the Rev. Richard Holshouser officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family respectfully requests no food.

The family received friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
