Mrs. Esther Miller Osborne, 90, of 164 Miller Lane, Zionville, wife of the late Voley Dean Osborne, died Wednesday night, Dec. 15, 2004, at Glenbridge Health Care.
She was born Jan. 21, 1914, in Tamarack, Watauga County, to the late Robert Franklin and Amanda Potter Miller.
Mrs. Osborne was a homemaker and a member of Mabel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Jane Eggers and husband, R.D., and one son, Dean Osborne and wife, Judy, all of Zionville; one granddaughter, Debbie Dollar and husband, Danny, and two grandsons, David Eggers and wife, Judy, and Travis Osborne and wife, Debbie, all of Zionville. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Laura Mains, Lizzie Miller and Ruth Wallace Reynolds and three brothers, Luther Miller, Robert Miller and Sherman Miller.
Services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Mabel United Methodist Church. The body will lie in state at the church from 1-2 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Harold Danner. Burial will follow in Mabel Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7-8:30 p.m. at Hampton Funeral Service.
