Mrs. Tennie Duncan, 90, of the Hamburg community in Bakersville, N.C., died Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, in a Boone rest home.
She was the daughter of the late Adam and Lucinda Duncan Buchanan, and the wife of Grover Duncan, who died in 1981.
Mrs. Duncan was a life-long member of Bear Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Richard Duncan and wife, Glenda, of Jefferson, N.C.; a daughter, Brenda Wasserman of Sunrise, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. at Bear Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Larry Greene and the Rev. Brent Bolick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m., prior to the service, at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Watauga County, 136 Furman Road, Suite 4, Boone, N.C. 28607.
