July 18
Larceny was reported at 8:02 a.m. at the American Legion. A sign was reported stolen.

Criminal damage to property by vandalism was reported at an AppalCART stop at the corner of Oak Street and Pine Street.

Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated person at 11:53 p.m. on the 100 block of Juniper Road.

Arrests: Gregory Trivette, 27, of 374 Tings Mountain Road, Deep Gap, was arrested at 2:16 a.m. on a charge of driving while impaired.

Anna Dowling, 21, of 106 Whisperwood Drive, Cary, was arrested at 3:37 a.m. on charges of driving while impaired and unsafe movement.

Francesca Waddell, 24, of 501 Dogwood Road, Apt. 2, Boone, was arrested at 2:01 a.m. on a charge of driving while license revoked.

Joseph Simmons, 46, of 302 West King St., Boone, was arrested at 10:54 p.m. on a charge of possession of an open container of alcohol on public property.

June 19
Officers responded to a report of a suicidal individual at 6:48 a.m. on the 2400 block of N.C. 105.

A motor vehicle theft was reported at 7:17 p.m. on the 100 block of Birch Street. A Mazda 626 car was reported stolen.

An incident involving assault on a child under the age of 12 was reported at 11:39 p.m. on the 100 block of Church Street.

Arrests: William Winkler, 29, of 356 Wild Rose Lane, Boone, was arrested at 3:46 a.m. on a charge of driving while impaired.

June 20
Criminal damage to property was reported at 1:41 p.m. on the 700 block of West King Street.

A simple physical assault was reported at 2:02 p.m. on the 600 block of Grand Boulevard.

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 5:39 p.m. on the 300 block of Meadowview Drive. A GPS unit and various CDs were reported stolen.

Arrests: Candace Byrum, 23, of 574 Old E. King St., Apt. 106, Boone, was arrested at 9:24 a.m. on a charge of driving while license revoked.

Mitchell Damron, 32, of 815 31st St. SW, Hickory, was arrested at 10:45 a.m on charges of criminal damage to property and breaking and entering with force.

Three people were arrested in regards to a single incident. Gene Ray, 57, of 118 Tremont Drive, Boone; Andrea Goins, 61, of 150 Church Street, Boone; and Charles Wilson, 61, of 136 Doctor Mary McCloud Beth Blvd, Daytona Beach, Fla. were charged with assault on child under the age of 12 at 11:58 a.m.

June 21
Criminal damage to property by graffiti was reported at 8:58 a.m. on the Greenway Trail.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 9:36 a.m. the Country Inn and Suites on East King Street.

Breaking and entering and damage to property were reported at 3:57 p.m. at an apartment on the 100 block of Kimberly Drive. A laptop computer and an iPod were reported stolen.

Arrests: Columbus Wilson, 24, of 225 Tater Hill Estates Drive, Apt. 7, Boone, was arrested at 2:39 a.m. on charges of driving while impaired and expired registration.
