July 13
Evelyn Colleen Sparks, 35, of 5841 Charlie Little Road, Granite Falls, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear in district court on a school attendance law violation. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 15 in lieu of a secured $1,500 bond.

Raymond Cryil Pariseau, 78, of 1460 Snaggy Mountain Blvd., Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of simple assault. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 15 in lieu of an unsecured $500 bond.


William Robert Suter, 65, of 340 Blue Ridge View Trail, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of simple assault. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 15 in lieu of an unsecured $500 bond.

Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny from a motor vehicle were reported in open land areas on the 100 block of Murray Drive in Boone. The victim reported a person cut the lock from a trailer and multiple tools and a generator were stolen.

An incident of harassment was reported at a residence on the 200 block of Redwolf in Blowing Rock. The victim reported receiving multiple inappropriate messages.

July 14
Ricky Dean Cook, 36, of 1762 Silverstone Road, Zionville, was served with an order for arrest on a court violation. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Aug. 4 in lieu of a $435 bond.

Larceny of motor vehicle was reported at the Quality Plus. Twelve gallons of gasoline, valued at $29.24 was reported stolen. An officer responded and the vehicle sped away from the scene.

David Phillip Harmon, 22, of 305 Hicks Road, Sugar Grove, was arrested in the above incident. He was charged with larceny of motor fuel, driving while license revoked and resisting a public officer. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Aug. 28 in lieu of a secured $1,500 bond.

Criminal damage to property was reported at a residence on the 300 block of Bluebird Lane in Boone. The victim reported a person threw a rock through a window in the home.


Financial card theft and identity theft were reported by a resident of Mountain Dale Road in Vilas. The victim reported his/her personal information and credit card were used without authorization.

July 15
Dorian E. Whitehead, 28, of 3494 Poplar Grove Road, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of felony selling marijuana and felony possession with the intent to sell/deliver marijuana. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 15 in lieu of a secured $3,000 bond.


Criminal damage to property by vandalism was reported at a residence on the 300 block of Hicks Road in Sugar Grove. The victim reported a person threw a rock at a vehicle.

July 16
Jordan Thomas Coffey, 22, of 3403 Mountain Dale Road, Vilas, was served with a warrant on a charge of indecent liberties with a child. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 15 in lieu of an unsecured $5,000 bond.

James Brittian Parramore, 34, of 421 U.S. 321 North, Vilas, was arrested on view on charges of driving while impaired and driving while license revoked. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Aug. 28.

Larceny was reported at a residence on the 300 block of Loafer’s Joy Road in Zionville. The victim reported a Kawasaki Mule ATV, valued at $10,000, stolen from the barn.


A person reported finding a handbag on the side of the road on the 400 block of Old Watauga River Road in Sugar Grove.

July 17
Fraud was reported at a residence on the 2500 block of Hickory Drive in Boone. The victim reported a person using his/her personal information in an attempt to gain money.

Larceny was reported at a residence on the 5900 block of U.S. 421 in Vilas. The victim reported a person entered the home without the use of force and stole jewelry.
