Boone Police reports

July 17
Breaking and entering was reported at 3:08 a.m. at an apartment on the 300 block of Howard Street.

Criminal damage to property by vandalism was reported at 8:43 a.m. on the 100 block of Hillandale Drive.

Communicating threats was reported at 8:58 a.m. on the 2300 block of N.C. 105.

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 10:18 a.m. on the 100 block of Wintergreen Lane. Various CDs were reported stolen.

Criminal damage to property by vandalism was reported at the Hospitality House on West King Street.

Officers responded to a complaint of unknown nature at the Boone Mall at 12:08 a.m. Upon arrival, the officer was provided false information.

A breaking and entering with non-forced entry was reported at 10:17 p.m. on the 300 block of Jefferson Road.

Arrests: Khoi Nguyen, 37, of 4931 Buck Line Crossing, Dunnwoody, Ga., was arrested at 10:30 a.m. on a charge of larceny.

Michael Smith, 45, of 1422 Dutch Creek Road, Boone, was arrested at 7:02 p.m. on a charge of trespassing.
