Watauga sheriff’s reports:
June 22
Larceny of a dog was reported at a residence on the 200 block of Locust Lane in Boone. A border collie dog was reported stolen.
Criminal damage to property by vandalism was reported at a residence on the 4800 block of U.S. 421 in Vilas. A New Holland tractor was damaged.
June 23
Casey James Ward, 21, of 163 Red Maple Lane, Boone, was arrested on view on a charge of a probation violation. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in distrit court on July 31 in lieu of a secured $10,000 bond.
Tony William Kincaid, 53, of 939 Longhope Road, Boone, was arrested on view on charges of driving while impaired, no operator’s license, driving left of center and fleeing to elude arrest. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Aug. 22 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Fraud by obtaining money and/or property by false pretenses was reported at a business on the 10800 block of U.S. 421 in Zionville. The victim reported a person took $37,241 in checks and did not use the funds as previously discussed.
An assault with a deadly weapon was reported on the 100 block of Meat Camp Road in Boone. The victim reported a person stabbed him/her with the tip of the knife.
Fraud by worthless checks was reported by Boone Action Cycle on U.S. 421 in Vilas. The owner reported a person wrote a check for a Honda ATV on a closed bank account.
June 24
Thomas Arthur Slettvet II, 19, of 5547 Castleford Road, Todd, was arrested on view on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Aug. 28 in lieu of a secured $300 bond.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 3200 block of Silverstone Road in Zionville. Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation reported the resident reconnected the electricity.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 400 block of Presnell Road in Banner Elk. Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation reported the resident reconnected the electricity for a second time at the address.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 200 block of Holloway Mountain Road in Boone. The victim reported prescription narcotics stolen.
June 25
Jacob Grange Shook, 25, of 476 Hardaman Circle, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date in Buncombe County. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court in Asheville on July 10 in lieu of a secured $2,000 bond.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Pond Road in Boone. The victim reported a rocking chair was stolen from the porch.
The theft of a recreational vehicle and larceny were reported at a residence on the 3000 block of N.C. 88 in Zionville. The victim reported a Polaris ATV and a fencing tool stolen.
June 26
Alejandro Jacinto Romero, 30, of 671 Howards Creek Road, Apt. 3, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Aug. 28 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
Trespassing and cruelty to animals was reported on the 200 block of Bamboo Road in Boone. The reporting person discovered three dead kittens, one of which was reported to have been mutilated.
Domestic stalking and communicating threats were reported on the roadway on the 3600 block of Heavenly Mountain Drive in Boone. The victim reported painted and handwritten messages interpreted as threatening.
Larceny of a dog was reported at a residence on the 2100 block of Meat Camp Road in Boone. A tan and white Chihuahua was reported stolen from the yard.
June 27
Andrew Pearce Hull, 26, of 1381 Highland Hall Road, Boone, was served with an order for arrest on charges of simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance and felony trafficking of opium or heroine. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 15 in lieu of a secured $50,000 bond.
Shannon Marie Greene, 29, of 107 Hartley Drive, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of felony trafficking of cocaine, felony conspiracy to traffic cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Aug. 28 in lieu of a secured $12,000 bond.
An incident of road rage and assault by pointing a firearm were reported on the 900 block of Friendship Church Road in Boone. The victim reported a person pointed a handgun after a verbal altercation.
Burglary with forced entry and larceny were reported at a residence on the 4000 block of Howards Creek Road in Boone. The victim reported a person kicked in the door of the home and stole a grandmother clock.
June 28
Daniel Heath Watson, 23, of 204 Furman Road, Apt. 2, Boone, was arrested on view on charges of driving while license revoked and a registration violation. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 15 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Randy Scott Ellison, 34, of 9 Little Gap Road, Fleetwood, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of possession of a controlled substance on jail premises. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 15 in lieu of a secured $3,000 bond.
A breaking and entering of a building and larceny were reported on the 100 block of Tweetsie Trail in Banner Elk. The victim reported a person damaged the locks on a door and stole firewood and an antique wooden school desk chair.
June 29
Tyler Douglas Beckett, 18, of 288 Lynn Hill Drive, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana up to one half ounce. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 15 in lieu of a secured $1,000.
Jason Richard Morsette, 30, of 2175 Meat Camp Road, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for a court violation. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in superior court on Aug. 3 in lieu of a secured $20,000 bond.
Fraud by obtaining money and/or property by false pretenses was reported at a residence on the 200 block of Roy E Brown Road in Vilas. The victim reported a person placed a house for rent on Craig’s List without permission.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 8900 block of U.S. 421 North, town unspecified. The victim reported a weed eater stolen from the front yard.
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on the 200 block of Cara Lane in Boone. The victim reported the basement of the home was entered without the use of force and a 42-inch television was stolen.
Larceny was reported at a lot on the 2300 block of Shulls Mill Road in Boone. The victim reported a generator was stolen from a construction site.
Criminal damage to property by vandalism was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Highland Lakes Road in Blowing Rock. The victim reported a person scratched the door of a vehicle and cut the rear tire cover.
Criminal damage to property and trespassing were reported at a residence on the 200 block of Bamboo Road in Boone. The victim reported a person came onto the property and threw eggs at the residence and a vehicle.
