June 13
Officers responded to a report of a person disturbing the peace. The victim reported a person causing him/her fear with a knife and cutting the tire on a vehicle.
Criminal damage to property by vandalism was reported at a residence on the 2400 block of Flat Top Road in Blowing Rock. The victim reported a window of the home had been struck by paintballs.
June 14
Ryan Lee Wilkie, 22, of 120 Faculty St., Apt. 3, Boone, was served with a criminal summons on a charge of simple physical assault. He is scheduled to appear in district court on July 10.
Timothy Scott Ashley, 36, of North Fork Road, Zionville, house number not specified, was served with a warrant on a charge of communicating threats. He is scheduled to appear in district court on July 10 in lieu of an unsecured $750 bond.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 2100 block of Big Hill Road in Boone. A computer was stolen from the home without forced entry.
Criminal damage to property by vandalism was reported on the 100 block of Valle Trail in Banner Elk. The victim reported a mailbox damaged.
Officers responded to a report of an overdose on the 1200 block of Highland Hall Road in Boone. The victim had taken more medication than prescribed.
An incident of trespassing was reported at a residence on the 8800 block of N.C. 194 in Todd. The victim reported a person refused to leave the driveway.
June 15
Thomas Burns Shelly III, 25, of 135 Clarence Newton Road, Blowing Rock, was served with a warrant on a charge of larceny. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Aug. 14 in lieu of a written promise bond.
The theft of a motor vehicle trailer was reported at Mica Custom Products on N.C. 105 in Banner Elk. A 16-foot-long enclosed trailer was reported stolen.
Larceny was reported at a commercial storage facility on the 400 block of U.S. 321 in Vilas. The victim reported a person cut the lock on a storage unit and stole two nail guns.
Larceny was reported at a construction site on the 3500 block of Bethel Road in Sugar Grove. The victim reported fishing poles and multiple tools were stolen from the site.
A simple physical assault was reported on the 100 block of Kerley Drive in Boone. The report said a child was hit on the leg with a paddle.
