June 2
A motor vehicle theft was reported in an open land area near the 1100 block of Replogle Drive. A 1988 white Jeep Laredo was reported stolen.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 400 block of Rocky Mountain Road in Boone. The victim reported jewelry was discovered missing during renovations to the home. Approximately $12,000 in gold jewelry was reported stolen.
Damage to property was reported on the 100 block of Azor Court in Boone. The victim reported rocks rolled from a construction site and struck his/her vehicle, causing $1,600 in damage.
June 3
Lesley Anne Hudson, 22, of 1828 Underwood Ave., Milwaukee, Wis., was arrested on view on charges of breaking and entering and second degree trespassing. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on July 15 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
Conner Mingese Cowling, 22, of 8127 Chestnut St., Milwaukee, Wis., was arrested on view on charges of breaking and entering and second degree trespassing. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on July 15 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
Martin Steven Fall Jr., 20, of 126 Hunting Bay Drive, Swansboro, was arrested on view on charges of breaking and entering and second degree trespassing. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on July 15 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
An aggravated assault was reported at a residence on the 200 block of Burl Brown Road in Vilas. The victim reported an argument escalated into an assault.
Burglary with non-forced entry and trespassing was reported at a church/synagogue/temple on the 500 block of Whispering Hills Road in Boone. The victim reported a person entered the property at Heavenly Mountain without permission.
Breaking and entering of motor vehicle and larceny were reported at a residence on the 5200 block of Bamboo Road in Boone. The victim reported an unlocked vehicle was entered and a digital camera stolen.
Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny were reported at a residence on the 600 block of Margo Road in Boone. The victim reported a person entered the vehicle and stole a wallet, credit card, debit card and a pair of handcuffs.
Fraud was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Windy Gap Road in Blowing Rock. The victim reported receiving a non-sufficient funds check as payment for a vehicle.
June 4
Dereck Ray Burkett, 21, of 143 Reas St., Boone, was served with an order for arrest on a charge of assault on a government official. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Aug. 14 in lieu of a secured $750 bond.
Monie Jeffrey McCoury, 47, of 380 U.S. 321 North, Vilas, was served with a warrant on a charge of trespassing. He is scheduled to appear in district court on July 15 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Misty Blue Sheets, 32, of 176 Laurel Reach Lane, Boone, was served with a criminal summons on a school attendance law violation. She is scheduled to appear in district court on June 12.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Reas Street in Boone. A self-propelled lawn mower was reported stolen.
Larceny by shoplifting was reported at the Foscoe County Corner convenience store. A candy bar was reported stolen.
Officers were called to a residence on the 2500 block of Rominger Road in Banner Elk to a report of a medication overdose.
Officers reported recovered property on the 800 block of N.C. 105 Bypass. The manager of the U Haul rental reported finding a missing trailer.
June 5
An incident involving an aggravated assault and larceny were reported in a parking lot on the 3600 block of U.S. 421 in Vilas. The victim reported he/she has been assaulted and prescription medication stolen.
Larceny was reported on the 200 block of Appaloosa Trail in Boone. The victim reported a Colt firearm stolen.
Breaking and entering, larceny and criminal damage to property were reported at a residence on the 100 block of Frances McQueen Road in Vilas. The victim reported six baby chicks and queen-size sheets were stolen. A storage structure was also reported vandalized.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 200 block of Parkway Ridge in Boone. The victim reported two Hosta plants, a fabric grill cover and a large, antique crockery jar were stolen.
Burglary with forced entry and larceny were reported at a residence on the 100 block of Creekstone Drive in Banner Elk. Entry was forced in the residence and a television, 35mm camera and a video camera were reported stolen.
Larceny and criminal damage to property were reported at a residence on the 2180 block of U.S. 421 in Boone. The victim reported a laptop computer, iPod, digital camera and a knife stolen. A tent was also damaged.
June 6
Steven Francis Carey, 47, of 965 Bayard St., Port Charlotte, Fla., was arrested on view on a charge of driving while impaired. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 28.
Criminal damage to property was reported on open land areas on Howards Knob Road in Boone. The victim reported a person entered the land and damaged the locks on the gates.
An assault on a female was reported at a residence on the 3300 block of U.S. 321 in Blowing Rock. The victim fell and/or was pushed down the stairs.
A motor vehicle theft was reported at a residence on the 200 block of Smith Street in Vilas. A Chevrolet Tracker, silver in color, was reported stolen.
June 7
Jose Daniel Acuna, 27, of 107 Forest Hill Drive, Apt. C, Lenoir, was served with two orders for arrest failure to appear in district court. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on June 17 in lieu of a secure $3,500 bond.
Officers were called in reference to a suspicious person knocking on the door at a residence on the 400 block of George Wilson Road in Boone.
Trespassing was reported in an open land area on Laurel Creek Road in Banner Elk. The victim reported people entered the property to camp overnight.
Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny were reported in a parking area at the Hound Ears damn in Boone. The victim reported a person opened the car door and stole a wallet with cash, identification and credit cards. A cell phone, purse and body jewelry were also stolen.
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on the 400 block of Ray Brown Road in Boone. The victim reported a person entered the residence and stole clothing, cash, a wallet and a set of car keys.
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on the 1600 block of Little Laurel Road in Boone. The victim reported a person entered the home with the use of force and stole a television and microwave.
June 8
Allison P. Martin, 18, of 5404 Edenfield Drive, Kernersville, was served with an order for arrest on a court violation. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on June 12 in lieu of a secured $1,000 bond.
Criminal damage to property and larceny from a motor vehicle were reported in a parking lot on the 100 block of Glendamere Court in Boone. The victim reported a Jeep Cherokee was damaged and an iPod, laptop computer and sun glasses were stolen.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 400 block of Schaffer Road in Boone. The victim reported a chainsaw was stolen from a building.
Criminal damage to property was reported at a residence on the 900 block of Charlie Thompson Road in Vilas. The victim reported holes had been cut in swimming pool recirculation lines.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 7600 block of Old U.S. 421 in Deep Gap. Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation reported a person bypassed the electric meter box.
Embezzlement was reported at the Yonahlossee Racquet Club on Shulls Mill Road in Boone. An unknown number of unauthorized purchases were made on a debit card.
