May 26
Shae Morrison, 30, of 323 Tarleton Circle, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of harassing phone calls. She is scheduled to appear in district court on June 19 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Scott Kelly Watson, 44, of 159 Roaring Fork Road, Todd, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of assault on a female. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on July 15.
Tyler Douglas Beckett, 18, of 288 Lynnhill Drive, Boone, was arrested on view on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance. He is scheduled to appear in district court on July 24.
Victor Kyle Hicks, 19, of 134 Miller Drive, Todd, was served with a warrant on a charge of injury to personal property. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on July 10 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
Bradford Mills Ivey, 28, of 711 Teaberry Hills, Boone, was served with an order for arrest on a court violation. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on July 10 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
Criminal damage to property by vandalism was reported on the 300 block of Feuders Hill in Zionville. A person shot a Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation transformer with a rifle, causing $750 in damage.
Burglary with forced entry, larceny and criminal damage to property were reported at a construction site on Turtle Creek Drive in Boone. A person pried open a trailer and stole multiple tools and equipment. A second trailer was also entered and additional tools stolen.
Motor vehicle theft and larceny were reported at a residence on the 5100 block of Howards Creek Road. The victim reported a 2000 Nissian Xterra stolen along with prescription medication, cash, a video game console and multiple games.
Larceny of a motorcycle was reported at a residence on the 500 block of Rabbit Ridge Run in Vilas. A 1994 Harley Davidson Sportster was reported stolen.
May 27
Chad Kenneth Allen, 32, of 371 Joe Wallace Road, Trade, Tenn., was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear on a charge of no operator’s license. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on July 10 in lieu of a secured $1,000 bond.
A sex offense was reported on the 400 block of Mabel School Road in Zionville. A juvenile reported receiving inappropriate photos and text messages via a cell phone.
Larceny of checks and the forgery and uttering of stolen checks was reported by a resident of Glory Drive in Boone. A person stole checks, forged and used the checks without authorization.
May 28
Avery Allen Simmons, 29, of 424 Falls Road, Moravian Falls, was arrested on view on charges of driving while license revoked and possession of marijuana less than one half ounce. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on July 24 in lieu of a secured $750 bond.
James Blair Cheeks Jr., 31, of 486 Old Bridle Creek Road, Independence, Va., was charged with felony larceny and felony robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on July 23.
An incident of communicating threats was reported at a residence on the 200 block of The Glade Road in Boone. The victim reported a person threatening them at his/her home.
An aggravated assault was reported at a residence on the 5500 block of Bethel Road in Sugar Grove. The victim was hit on the head with an unknown object.
May 29
Christian Merchant Breeding, 18, of 340 Lake Point Lane, Belews Creek, was arrested on view on charges of felony possession of a schedule VI controlled substance and felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on July 10 in lieu of a secured $10,000 bond.
Officers were called to a home on Meat Camp Road in Todd in reference to a person taking too many pills.
May 30
Damage to property was reported in an open field off of Lonnie Carlton Road in Deep Gap. The owner reported a vehicle spinning up the ground and damaging a fence.
Officers were called to a residence on Summit Woods Drive in Blowing Rock in reference to a dispute between a worker and a tenant.
Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny were reported at a residence on the 500 block of Skyview Drive in Deep Gap. The victim reported a person entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a computer bag, computer equipment and a camera.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 200 block of Donnies Drive in Boone. The victim reported an iPod was stolen from the home during a party.
An assault on a female was reported in a parking lot off U.S. 321 in Vilas. The victim reported having been punched in the nose.
May 31
Emily Kincaid Nichols, 39, of 136 Mountain Songs Road, Blowing Rock, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of simple physical assault. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on July 15.
A simple physical assault was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Mountain Song Road in Blowing Rock. The victim reported having been punched in the back of the head and the person biting his/her shoulder.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Betsy Circle in Todd. The victim reported a bicycle stolen from the home.
June 1
Criminal damage to property was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Payne Branch Road in Blowing Rock. The victim reported the rear window had been broken out of a vehicle.
Criminal damage to property was reported at a residence on the 200 block of Fair Mountain Drive in Blowing Rock. The victim reported water damage on hardwood flooring.
