Church drives in run in easy win
Former Watauga standout catcher Adam Church drove in two runs and scored another to help Caldwell Legion Post 29 take a 14-0 victory over Henderson in Caldwell’s first game of the season Friday.


Church and pitcher Jon Sharpe, who got the win Saturday, are playing legion ball for Caldwell this summer.

Caldwell, which also won Saturday and Sunday, hosts Pineville Monday night at 7 p.m.

Crawdads dump Hagerstown 7-1
HICKORY — The Hickory Crawdads scored three runs in the first inning and four more in the fifth to cruise to the 7-1 win against the Hagerstown Suns before 1,356 fans at L.P. Frans Stadium on Sunday afternoon.


The Crawdads host Hagerstown Monday at 7 p.m., and Tuesday at 11 a.m. before getting Wednesday off.
