Boone Police reports
April 29
The use of a forged instrument was reported at 9:19 a.m. on the 300 block of Watauga Village Drive.
The receiving of a forged instrument was reported at 3:27 p.m. on the 2500 block of N.C. 105.
Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated person at 3:52 p.m. on the 100 block of West King Street.
Arrests: Stephanie Johnston, 23, of 2716 Charlwood Drive, Winston, was arrested at 12:26 a.m. on charges of driving while impaired and left of center.
David Blair, 16, of 822 Sorrento Drive, Blowing Rock, was arrested at 11 a.m. on two charges of drug violations.
April 30
Criminal damage to property was reported at 8:54 a.m. on the 100 block of Best Place Court.
Criminal damage to property was reported at 11:17 a.m. on the 100 block of Iris Lane.
Damage to property was reported at 11:58 a.m. on the 700 block of Poplar Grove Road.
Criminal damage to property was reported at 12:05 p.m. on the 1400 block of Blowing Rock Road.
Fraud by obtaining money and/or property by false pretenses and worthless checks were reported at 12:44 p.m. on the 400 block of New Market Center.
An aggravated assault with sexual motives was reported at 6:16 p.m. at an apartment on the 300 block of Blowing Rock Road.
Arrests: Ricky Thomas, 19, of 215 Yosemite Drive, Banner Elk, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. on charges of driving while impaired on a provisional license and failure to burn headlights.
Seth Heilig, 22, of 230 Kings Ridge Road, Apt. 1, Boone, was arrested at 12:03 a.m. on a charge of driving while impaired.
Joshua Bryant, 25, of 11 Still Run, Weaverville, was arrested at 8 p.m. on charges of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and motor vehicle theft.
Joes Neaves, 48, of 646 Winklers Creek Road, Apt. D, Boone, was arrested at 10:55 p.m. on a charge of disorderly conduct.
May 5
Officers responded to an incident involving drug violations and simple physical assault at 4:34 p.m. on the 1100 block of Blowing Rock Road.
Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny from a motor vehicle were reported at 4:49 p.m. on the 100 block of Leola Street. Gift cards, debit card, identification and clothing items were reported stolen.
Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 6:47 p.m. on the 700 block of West King Street.
An incident of communicating threats was reported at 8:39 p.m. on the 300 block of Industrial Park Drive.
May 6
Arrest: William Merrill, 23, of 3325 Mores Glen Drive, Charlotte, was arrested at 3:05 a.m. on charges of driving while impaired and improper equipment.
Graffiti arrests
Investigators with the Boone Police Department continue to crack down on graffiti.
On Saturday, two men were caught in the act marking graffiti along Depot Street. Martin Charles Wentworth, 22, of Boone, and Perry Andrew David, 23, of Boone, were each charged with damage to real property. Both are scheduled to appear in district court June 9 in lieu of a secured $1,500 bond.
Sgt. Matt Stevens said the investigation is continuing and additional charges are likely.
On April 18, officers arrested Jameson Leslie Pulsifer, 20, of Boone, after he allegedly painted graffiti in the restroom of the Hardee’s restaurant near New Market Centre. After further investigation, Pulsifer was charged with seven counts of injury to real and personal property.
The investigation continued, including a search of Pulsifer’s home on Water Street. On Thursday, officers charged him with an additional ten counts of damage to personal and real property. Pulsifer will appear in district court to face the new charges on June 9 in lieu of a $3,500 written promise bond.
