April 28
Helen Bledsoe Cobb, 56, of 8507 Three Top Road, Todd, was served with a warrant for arrest on two counts of possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on June 9 in lieu of a secured $750 bond.
Robin Eugene Bledsoe, 43, of 8507 Three Top Road, Todd, was served with a warrant for arrest on two counts of simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. He is scheduled to appear in district court on June 9 in lieu of a secured $750 bond.
Brennan Tyler Manning, 22, of 486 Greenbriar Road, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on June 9 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
An incident of breaking and entering and criminal damage to property was reported at a residence on the 100 block of South Slope Circle in Banner Elk. The victim reported a person kicked in the front door of the home, causing $300 in damage.
Criminal damage to property was reported at a residence on the 300 block of Slabtown Road in Zionville. The victim reported a person damaged the windshield of a vehicle.
Larceny and fraud were reported at a residence on the 8700 block of N.C. 194 in Banner Elk. The victim reported more than $3,000 worth of tools and $600 in cash stolen from a home under renovation.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 5500 block of Bamboo Road in Boone. The victim reported stereo equipment, washer, dryer and chainsaw stolen from the home.
An incident involving breaking and entering and larceny was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Sunnybrook Lane in Sugar Grove. The victim reported a person entered the home with the use of force and stole 17 firearms, with an estimated total value of $7,769.
April 29
Officers responded to a residence on the 300 block of Vannoy Lane in Boone to assist medics. The victim had stabbed himself. The incident report indicates drug and/or alcohol use was involved.
Larceny was reported at residence on the 100 block of Mystery Hill Lane in Blowing Rock. A firearm, valued at $800, was reported stolen.
An incident of burglary and larceny was reported at a residence on the 400 block of N.C. 105 Bypass. The victim reported a person entered the basement of the home and stole assorted tools, three chain saws, generator, mulching machinery and a pole saw.
April 30
Alex Michael Poltorak, 22, of 618 Greer Lane, Boone, was arrested on view on a charge of driving while impaired. He is scheduled to appear in district court on June 9.

James Faron Cooke, 52, of 2588 U.S. 321 South, Apt. 23, Boone, was served with an order for arrest on a court violation out of Caldwell County. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court in Lenoir on May 21 in lieu of a secured $2,000 bond.
An incident of breaking and entering and larceny was reported at a residence on the 900 block of Alpine Drive in Blowing Rock. The victim reported a person entered the home with the use of force and stole three LCD televisions, building materials, food items, mountain bike and a lounge chair.
An incident of communicating threats was reported by a resident of George Hayes Road in Boone. The victim reported an unknown person called and threatened him/her.
Criminal damage to property and larceny from a coin-operated machine were reported on the 200 block of Southridge Road in Banner Elk. The victim reported a person pried the coin box from a dryer and stole it. A second coin box was damaged.
May 1
William Wayne Carpenter, 57, of 114 Anderson Drive, Lot 15, Mountain City, Tenn., was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear in district court on a charge of driving while license revoked. He is scheduled to appear in district court on June 1 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
Jennifer Marie Goodman, 31, of 321 Smokey View Drive, Newland, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 12 in lieu of a secured $750 bond.
Kenneth Lane Church, 53, of 5212 Crawley Dale St., Morganton, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on June 2 in lieu of a secured $35,871 bond.
Larry Christopher Goodman, 35, of 6041 Centerwood Ave, Jacksonville, Fla., was served with a warrant on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was also served with two orders for arrest for failure to appear in district court. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 28 in lieu of a secured $20,000 bond.
Officers were called for service to a residence on the 200 block of Holly Hills in Boone. A person was intoxicated and fell.
Breaking and entering was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Ridge Crest Drive in Boone. The victim reported a person threw a large rock through the window of an exterior door.
May 2
Jimmy Dean Winebarger, 44, of 2182 Hardin Road, Boone, was served with a warrant on a charge of harassing phone calls. He is scheduled to appear in district court on May 15 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Joanna Marelle Shore, 34, of 160 Winter Drive, Boone, was served with a warrant for felony harboring of a fugitive. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on June 9 in lieu of a secured $2,000 bond.
Officers responded to a call for service at a residence on the 800 block of Sorrento Drive in Blowing Rock. A person had reportedly attempted to overdose on medication and assaulted a person in the home.
An assault by pointing a firearm was reported on the 7700 block of U.S. 421 in Vilas.
Harassing phone calls were reported at a residence on the 300 block of Apple Way in Blowing Rock.
May 3
Aubrey Rinata Goss, 25, of 174 Youngs Drive, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on June 3 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
Larceny was reported in an open land area on the 100 block of Storie Cemetery Road in Blowing Rock. The victim reported a bronze statue, valued at $2,000, was stolen.
Criminal damage to property was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Hideaway Lane in Vilas. The victim reported a person broke into the home and damaged a light fixture.
A simple physical assault with sexual motive was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Yonah Court in Boone. The victim reported a person putting his/her hands on them and taking off the victim’s jacket.
May 4
Cesar Alfredo Cortez, 29, of 118 Yonah Court, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on charge of simple physical assault with sexual motive. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on June 9 in lieu of a secured $750 bond.
Susan Theresa Fabbri, 39, of 166 Quail Ridge Lane, Apt. B, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of school attendance law violation. She is scheduled to appear in district court on June 9 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Fraud was reported by a resident of Aho Road in Blowing Rock. The victim reported a person stole his/her bank routing number and completed a transaction.
An incident of breaking and entering and larceny was reported at residence on the 200 block of Stone Mountain Road in Vilas. The victim reported a person entered an outbuilding and stole two chainsaws and a skill saw.
