April 16
Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 9:51 a.m. on the 500 block of Queen Street. A checkbook, an iPod and prescription medications were reported stolen.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 1:01 p.m. on the 200 block of Faculty Street.

Fraud was reported at 3:06 p.m. on the 1800 block of Blowing Rock Road.


Larceny by shoplifting was reported at 3:27 p.m. at Sears on Blowing Rock Road. A Craftsman chainsaw was reported stolen.

April 17
Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated person at 2:48 a.m. on the 200 block of Ambling Way.

Criminal damage to property by graffiti was reported at 7:24 a.m. in a parking lot on the 500 block of East King Street.

Criminal damage to property and larceny from two coin-operated machines were reported at 7:56 a.m. at Modern Toyota of Boone on East King Street.

Criminal damage to property by graffiti was reported at 8:39 a.m. at Northwest Opticians on West King Street.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 9:27 a.m. at High Country Honda on Blowing Rock Road.


Criminal damage to property by graffiti was reported at 9:53 a.m at Constructive Solutions on Blowing Rock Road.


Two incidents of criminal damage to property were reported at 11:36 a.m. at Wood Masonry Supply on East King Street.

Larceny and diversion of a controlled substance were reported at 11:59 a.m. on the 200 block of Bamboo Road. Vicodin prescription medication was reported stolen.

Two incidents of criminal damage to property were reported at 12:58 p.m. at Caterpillar Inc. on U.S. 421.

Officers responded to a call for service regarding a dog bite at 4:35 p.m. on Howard Street near Depot Street.

Officers responded to a report of a dog bite at 4:50 p.m. on the 100 block of Indian Pipes Trail.

Criminal damage to property by graffiti was reported at 11:42 p.m. at the Dragonfly Theater and Pub on Boone Heights Drive.


Criminal damage to property by graffiti was reported at 11:42 p.m. at the Goodwill retail store on Boone Heights Drive.

Criminal damage to property by graffiti was reported at 11:42 p.m. to an electric service box belonging to New River Light and Power off of Boone Heights Drive.

April 18
Criminal damage to property by graffiti was reported at 10:39 a.m. at Appalachian Tees on West King Street.

Larceny of auto parts and/or accessories was reported at 11:26 a.m. on the 1400 block of West King Street.

Jeep doors were reported stolen.

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 11:50 a.m. in a parking lot off the 100 block of Faculty Street.

A backpack with text books, three iPods, a power adapter, a cell phone, driver’s license, debit card and clothing were reported stolen.


Criminal damage to property by graffiti was reported at 12:50 p.m. at the Hardees in New Market Centre.

Arrests: Michael C. Aldridge, 31, of 530 Troy Norris Road, Boone, was arrested at 2:09 a.m. on charges of possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Johnny Ford Hollars III, 29, of 1297 South N.C. 194, Vilas, was arrested at 2:09 a.m. on charges of possession of a schedule III controlled substance and possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

Bryan Manary Culver, 20, of 308 Pearce Drive, Jamestown, was arrested at 3:05 a.m. on charges of underage possession of alcohol and injury to real property.

Jameson L. Pulsifer, 20, of 150 Water St., Apt. 2, Boone, was arrested at 1:53 p.m. on a charge of criminal damage to property by graffiti. He was served with a second warrant at 3:38 p.m. on another charge of the same.


Kimberly Dianne Treadaway, 16, of 304 Green Knob Mountain Road, Boone, was arrested at 9:44 p.m. on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, underage possession of alcohol, a provisional licensee violation and driving while impaired.

Daniel Paul Dickens, 19, of 256 Charles St., Boone, was served with an order for arrest at 10:46 p.m. for failure to appear at a scheduled court date.

April 20
Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 12:13 p.m. on the 300 block of Meadowview Drive. Two guitars, cases, strap and miscellaneous guitar equipment were reported stolen.


Fraud by obtaining money and/or property by false pretense was reported at 2:26 p.m at the Kangaroo Express on Blowing Rock Road.

Larceny was reported at 3:21 p.m. on the 100 block of Birch Street. A cell phone was reported stolen.

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 4:06 p.m. on the 100 block of Ivy Terrace Drive. A wallet containing identification, cash and a credit card was reported stolen.


Braking and entering and larceny were reported at 4:57 p.m. on the 100 block of Winter Drive. A Dell computer was reported stolen.


Arrest: Bradley Cole Abernathy, 30, of 454 Laurel Ridge, Banner Elk, was arrested at 10:30 a.m. on charges of driving while impaired and speeding.
