April 13
Geoffrey Paul Nelson, 32, of 136 Banjo Hollow Road, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, felony possession of methamphetamine and simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 15 in lieu of a secured $3,500 bond.
April 14
Charles Joseph Moore, 22, of 814 N.C. 194 North, Apt. 3, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of felony manufacturing a schedule I controlled substance, felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and/or deliver a schedule II controlled substance, felony manufacturing of marijuana, felony possession with intent to sell and/or deliver marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is scheduled to appear in district court on May 1 in lieu of a secured $11,000 bond.
Brian Forrest Tolbert, 17, address listed as homeless, Boone, was served with an order for arrest on a charge of violation of a court order. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 13 in lieu of a secure $10,000 bond.
April 15
Lucas Marvin English, 17, of 9060 U.S. 421 North, Zionville, was arrested on view on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He is scheduled to appear in district court on June 9 in lieu of an unsecured $1,000 bond.
An incident of breaking and entering was reported at a residence on the 2500 block of Elk Creek Road in Deep Gap. The victim reported a person attempted to pry open the door, causing $500 in damages.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Mountain Club Drive in Vilas. The victim reported air conditioning parts, valued at $3,500, were stolen from under the porch.
A resident of Stone Mountain Road in Vilas reported receiving harassing phone calls.
An incident of communicating threats was reported at a residence on the 9000 block of U.S. 421 in Zionville. The reporting person told officers someone had threatened his/her family members.
Officers responded to a possible overdose on prescription medication at a residence on the 800 block of Little Laurel Road Extension in Boone.
April 16
William C. Lennon Jr., 17, of 104 Helen Court, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of felony burglary with forced entry, larceny after breaking and entering, and simply physical assault. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 13 in lieu of a secured $5,000 bond.
Cursty McLean, 18, of 110-B Quail Ridge Lane, Boone, was served with a criminal summons on charges of injury to real property and injury to personal property. She is scheduled to appear in district court on May 15.
An incident of breaking and entering was reported on the 800 block of Brown Trout Road in Banner Elk. The victim reported a person entered the home and spent the night.
April 17
Criminal damage to property by vandalism and breaking and entering of a coin-operated machine were reported at the Foscoe Country Corner and Deli. The owner reported a person attempted to break into a drink machine and damaged a video camera.
A resident of Browns Chapel Road in Boone reported a person throwing eggs at his/her vehicle.
Criminal damage to property by vandalism was reported on Bradley Court in Boone. The victim reported a person throwing eggs at his/her vehicle.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 2600 block of White Rock Road in Lenoir. The victim reported a generator and a wheelbarrow were stolen from carport.
Larceny was reported in a waiting room in a public building located at 4469 Bamboo Road in Boone. The victim reported a purse containing prescription medication and a digital camera was stolen.
April 18
Chad Anthony Cotterman, 22, of 220 Bruce Shelton Blvd., Apt 107, Boone, was served with a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of possession of alcohol by an unauthorized person. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center on May 15 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
Shane Marcus Poling, 36, of 435 Presnell Road, Sugar Grove, was arrested on view on a charge of driving without an operator’s license. He is scheduled to appear in district court on May 1 in lieu of an unsecured $300 bond.
Burglary with non-forced entry and criminal damage to property were reported at a residence on the 1100 block of Ball Branch Road. The victim reported a person entered the front door and broke a phone on the front porch.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Isaacs Drive in Vilas. The victim reported a $250 money order stolen from her purse.
April 19
Joshua Franklyn Stanley, 27, of 172 Huffman Road, Vilas, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear on an indictment of obtaining property by false pretenses and failure to appear on a charge of possessing/receiving stolen property. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 28 in lieu of a secured $2,000 bond.
Criminal damage to property was reported at a parking lot on the 100 block of Old Mill Road in Sugar Grove. The victim reported the rear driver’s side window of a vehicle had been broken.
April 20
Robert Daniel Campbell, 35, of 231 Isenhour Road, Zionville, was served with a warrant for arrest on a court violation. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 1 in lieu of a secured $2,028 bond.
A resident of Elk Creek Road in Deep Gap reported receiving multiple harassing phone calls.
Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny from a motor vehicle were reported in a parking lot off the 3600 block of Old U.S. 421 in Deep Gap. The victim reported a person entered a service truck and removed $950 worth of tools.
Criminal damage to property and trespassing were reported at a residence on the 8600 block of N.C. 105 in Boone. The victim reported a person bulldozing a road on his/her land.
Criminal damage to property was reported at a residence on the 200 block of Roby Eggers Road in Zionville. The victim reported a neighbor let chickens loose and the animals damaged a garden.
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on the 200 block of V L Moretz Road in Deep Gap. The victim reported a person entered the home with the use of force and stole prescription medication.
