ASU slips to 11th in tourney

FLORENCE, S.C. — Casey Johnson carded a four-over, 76 Monday and leads Appalachian State’s men’s golf team after 36 holes at the Southern Conference Championship. Johnson has a score of six-over par 150 and stands in 30th with one round remaining.

As a team, Appalachian State slipped into 11th place in the tournament with a team score of 300-311-611 (+35).

Taylor Hines also shot a 76 and ranks tied with Dustin Hudson at eight-over, 152 (+8) through two rounds.

Hudson shot a six-over, 78 on Monday after an opening-round 74. The players are tied for 35th at the tournament.

Lance Wheeler and Jacob Eggers each shot 81and are tied for 53rd at 157 after 36 holes.
