Boone Police reports

April 9
Burglary with non-forced entry and larceny were reported at 8:02 a.m. at the Deer Valley Raquet Club.
Vending machines belonging to High Country Vending Inc were also affected. Computer hardware, cash and checks were reported stolen.

An incident of communicating threats was reported at 8:51 a.m. on the 200 block of Winklers Creek Road.

Larceny by shoplifting was reported at 12:37 p.m. at Radio Shack. A 22-inch television and a 22-inch computer screen were reported stolen.

Larceny was reported at 2:45 p.m. at Walmart. A CD, soft drink, computer duster spray, socks and duct tape were reported stolen.

Arrest: Jeffrey Warren, 32, of 3238 U.S. 321 North, Sugar Grove, was arrested at 8:42 p.m. on charges of displaying a fictitious registration tag and driving while license revoked.

April 10
Criminal damage to property was reported at 3:16 p.m. on the 1000 block of Blowing Rock Road.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 4:01 p.m. on the 400 block of High School Drive.

Officers responded to a reported intoxicated person at 8:58 p.m. on the 400 block of Blowing Rock Road.

A missing person was reported 10:19 .m. at the Boone Mall PARTS bus stop. The unidentified 53-year old man was later located.

Officer responded to a report of a suspicious incident at 10:30 p.m. on the 600 block of Howard Street.

Arrest: Paige Spiller, 21, address listed as homeless, was arrested at 12:54 p.m. on charges of driving without an operator’s license, felony possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana up to one half ounce.

April 11
Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 7:16 p.m. on the 200 block of Watauga Village Drive. Food vouchers were reported stolen.

Arrests: Tasha Ashley, 20, of 218 Spruce St., Boone, was arrested at 1:50 a.m. on charges of driving without an operator’s license, driving left of center, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and driving while impaired.

Shanna Wilson, 21, of 175 Apple Road, Boone, was arrested at 1:50 a.m. on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Frankie Brown, 46, of 104 Clifton Lane, Mount Airy, was arrested at 2:08 a.m. on charges of resisting a public officer, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of an open container of alcohol and driving while impaired.

Brandon Burkett, 18, of 143 Ruiz St., Boone, was arrested at 5 p.m. on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

April 12
The use (uttering) of a forged instrument and obtaining money and/or property by false pretenses were reported at 11:49 a.m. at Walgreens.

Burglary with non-forced entry was reported at 3:11 p.m. on the 200 block of Bruce Shelton Boulevard.
Larceny by an employee was reported at 4:20 p.m. at Bojangles.

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 9:34 p.m. in the Ingles parking lot.

Arrest: Cesar Cortez, 29, of 292 Bluebird Lane, Boone, was arrested at 11 p.m. on charges of N.C. identity card fraud, driving without an operator’s license, fictitious registration plate and possession of stolen property.

April 13
Larceny by shoplifting was reported at 10:02 a.m. at K-Mart. A Basic Editions leather wallet was reported stolen.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 11:44 a.m. on the 700 block of West King Street.

An incident of communicating threats was reported at 5:52 p.m. on the 300 block of New Market Centre.

Arrests: Allen Cornett, 41, of 11927 Oakdale Drive, Boone, was arrested at 8:25 p.m. on charges of driving while license revoked and driving while impaired.

John Salvo, 51, of 2000 Laurel Creek Road, Vilas, was arrested at 11:01 p.m. on charges of communicating threats and intoxicated and disruptive behavior.
