Police seek credit

card theft suspects
By Melanie Marshall

Investigators with the Boone Police Department are seeking information regarding two people suspected of using a stolen credit card.

A woman reported a wallet stolen from a vehicle parked at Meadow Hill Apartments on April 4. The wallet contained at least two credit cards.

One credit card has been used at Walgreens and Big Lots in Boone and Wal-Mart in West Jefferson.

Surveillance cameras captured images (pictured left) of the two people, which BPD have released. The video footage from Wal-Mart shows the pair leaving in a silver, four-door sedan.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents are asked to call BPD at (828) 268-6900 or Watauga County Crimestoppers at (828) 268-6959. Information will be kept confidential.

Crimestoppers pays rewards for information leading to arrests, recovery of stolen property, seizure of drugs and/or the location of wanted persons.
