Appalachian State pole vaulter Shea Snow was named Field Athlete of the Week for all meets from April 2-8, the conference office announced Thursday.

Snow won the pole vault at the Beaches vs. Mountains meet hosted by Western Carolina this past weekend with a jump of 12-feet, 1/2-inch, ranking her first in the SoCon and second in ASU school history.

Samford middle-distance runner Hillary Neal was named the SoCon Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week. Neal ran a conference-leading and NCAA Regional qualifying time of 2:09.68 in the 800-meters.
