sheriff’s reports:

Jan. 17
Randall Scott Carswell, 27, of 4070 Smokey Creek Road, Lenoir, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of felony larceny. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Feb. 27 in lieu of a secured $2,000 bond.

Andre Thomas Baker, 25, of 432 Junaluska Road, Boone, was served with a warrant as a fugitive from justice, served from Prince George County, Md. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Feb. 17 in lieu of a secured $20,000 bond.

Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on the 100 block of High Woods Lane, town unspecified. The home was entered without the use of force and 42-inch television was reported stolen.

Larceny and fraud were reported at a residence on the 100 block of Little Laurel Road in Boone. The victim reported a person stealing a heat and a vacuum cleaner, as well as coercing him/her into paying for unrequested services.

Larceny was reported at a residence on the 200 block of Seminole Trail in Elk Park. A 1997 yellow Yahama four-wheeler was reported stolen.

Jan. 18
James Daniel Wallace, 27, of 5488 Old U.S. 421, Apt. 5, Zionville, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance with the intent to sell, deliver or manufacture, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor possession of a schedule VI controlled substance. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Feb. 27 in lieu of a secured $4,000 bond.
