Dec. 21
Larceny was reported at a business on Ski Mountain Road. The victim reported walking into a building and finding his/her snowboard stolen when they walked back outside.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 300 block of New River Heights Drive in Boone. The victim reported a person stole a 1994 Buick Park Avenue. Other items reported stolen include a Sirius radio system, two wallets with identification, cash and a check book.
Larceny and trespassing were reported at a residence on the 3000 block of Junaluska Road. The victim reported a person cut a removed a six feet tall Norway Spruce tree from his/her property.
Harassing phone calls were reported by a resident of Howards Creek Road in Boone. The victim reported receiving the harassing calls on numerous occasions.
Breaking and entering and damage to property were reported at a residence on the 300 block of New River Heights Road. The victim reported two windows were broken in the home.
Larceny and trespassing were reported at a residence on the 2300 block of Watauga River Road in Boone. The victim reported a person cut the cable from and removed a boat trailer, valued at $2,000.
Michelle Gabrielle Evans, 33, of 1520 Bamboo Road, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 6 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
Lisa Marie Hampton, 44, of 111 Paul Critcher Drive, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of driving while license revoked, hit and run with property damage, and reckless driving to endanger. She is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 30 in lieu of an unsecured $100 bond.
Dec. 22
Benjamin Troy Lyskowka, 21, of 132 Battle Cove Lane, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 9 in lieu of a secured $1,000 bond.
Suspicious activity was reported at a residence on the 4100 block of U.S. 421 in Vilas. The victim reported a person requested money to be sent to Nigeria in exchange for dogs.
Dec. 23
Leonel Licea Arias, 27, of 186 Hampton Trailer Court, Boone, was arrested on view on a charge of driving while impaired. The 1999 Lincoln Navigator was impounded. Arias is scheduled to appear in district court on Feb. 17 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Clay Mitchell Ollis, 56, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of first degree rape of a child, first degree sexual offense and two counts of statutory rape/ sex offense of a minor greater than or equal to six years of age. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 30 in lieu of a secured $200,000 bond.
Recovered property was reported on the 100 block of Hodges Gap Road in Boone. A black purse was found over an embankment.
Dec. 24
Larceny and damage to property were reported at a business on Ski Mountain Road. The victim reported a locking mechanism was damaged and a snowboard stolen.
Damage to property was reported at a business on the 2500 block of Old U.S. 421 in Boone. The victim reported a drink machine was damaged by a person attempting to break-in.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 200 block of Cody Lane in Vilas. A trampoline, 10 feet in diameter, was reported stolen from the yard.
Dec. 25
Shawn Marvin Thomas Lambert, 31, of 166 Autumn Ridge, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of possession of a stolen firearm. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 30 in lieu of a secured $5,000 bond.
Donna Louise Greer, 26, of 209 Miller Ridge Road, Todd, was arrested on view on a charge of possession of a stolen firearm. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 30 in lieu of a secured $5,000 bond.
Kimberly Anne Berban, 46, of 8110 U.S. 321 North, Apt. 1, Sugar Grove, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of simple assault. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 21.
Dec. 26
Daniel Patrick Triplett, 36, of 722 Rhymer Branch Road, Deep Gap, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of injury to personal property, assault on a female and communicating threats. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 21 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Breaking and entering and damage to property were reported at a business on the 2100 block of U.S. 421 in Boone. The owner of Northwestern Heating reported the glass had been broken in the front door and someone opened the deadbolt lock.
An incident of fraud was reported by a resident of the 5100 block of Old U.S. 421 in Zionville. The victim reported a person used his/her personal information in an attempt to purchase a vehicle.
Breaking and entering, larceny and damage to property were reported at a residence on the 9300 block of N.C. 105 in Boone. The victim reported a person kicked in the back door of the home and stole two laptop computers, two electric guitars with accessories, two video game consoles, various DVDs and video games.
Dec. 27
Ryan McCorkle Suddeth, 35, of 828 Arnett Hollow Road, Vilas, was arrested on view on charges of driving while impaired and speeding, 54 mph in a 35 mph zone. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Feb. 17 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Recovered property was reported at the Greenway Trail parking lot off Deerfield Road. Credit cards were recovered.
Larceny was reported at a business on Ski Mountain Road. The victim reported a snowboard was stolen.
Buddy Joe Allen, 30, of 358 Bluebird Lane, Boone, was arrested on view on charges of driving while license revoked. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Feb. 17 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
Dec. 28
Whitney Samantha Weems, 20, of 129 Lazy Lake Road, Apt. 2, Boone, was served with a criminal summons on a charge of misdemeanor larceny. She is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 28.
Paul Jan Mincey, 43, of 8931 N.C. 105 South, Banner Elk, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of second degree trespassing, communicating threats and assault on a female. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 21 in lieu of an unsecured $1,500 bond.
Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported at a residence on the 1300 block of Mabel School Road in Zionville. The victim reported a 2003 red GMC Sierra was stolen from the driveway.
Dec. 29
Injury to real property was reported at a public park on the 100 block of Complex Drive in Boone. Graffiti was reportedly spray painted onto the side of a building.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Broken Arrow Trail in Boone. The victim reported two ladders were stolen from the property.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Quail Ridge Lane in Boone. The victim reported at 1991 Pontiac Firebird was stolen, along with a purse containing cash and credit cards.
Damage to property was reported at a business on the 4800 block of U.S. 421 North in Vilas. A glass pane in a window was reportedly broken at the B & B Mini Mart.
Michael Jon Peterson, 30, of 4827 U.S. 321 North, Sugar Grove, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of communicating threats. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Jan. 30 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
