The Watauga boys freshman basketball team rallied to beat A.C. Reynolds 49-40 Saturday. The Pioneers (2-3) got 31 points from Ethan Poulos and seven from Brian Bolster to catch the Rockets, who led the Pioneers by seven at halftime.

Darrow Goff added four points and six rebounds. He also stole the ball away five times. Poulos also had five steals. Joey Spinetto added four points and Isaiah Huxhold added three points and had four steals.

The Pioneers return to action Jan. 3 against Reagan High at Lentz-Eggers Gym.
