If Appalachian State has a non-conference rivalry with anybody, itfs with two teams. One is with Charlotte.

Commentary: ETSU game worth a good look

Some Behr facts to chew on this weekend: One of my favorite non-conference games that the Appalachian State men's basketball team plays is against East Tennessee State, which is Saturday at the Holmes Center.

AFCA coach of the year

Appalachian State head coach Jerry Moore was named the American Football Coaches Associationfs Region 2 Football Championship Subdivision's Coach of the Year. It is the fifth time in his 20-year career that Moore has earned the honor, having won the award in 1994, 1995, 2005 and 2006. That wasnft so good, was it? The Appalachian Dynasty took a major hit at The Rock Saturday when Richmond rolled in and put a 33-13 whuppin on the Mountaineers.

Sims hits key foul shots in ASU win
