Nov. 1
Officers responded to a reported overdose. The incident report states the victim took their aunt’s medication for experimental purposes.
Damage to property was reported at a church on Castleford Road in Boone. A person spray painted the side of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Dana Rae Gall, 31, of 136 Laurel Reach Lane, Apt. B, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of misdemeanor larceny. She is scheduled to appear in district court on Nov. 17 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Donald James Templeton, 39, of 211Perry Road, Banner Elk, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear in district court in Ashe County on a charge of driving while license revoked. He is scheduled to appear in district court in Jefferson on Nov. 30 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Timothy S. Barr Jr., 22, of 1325 Collegiate Drive, Apt. 205-A, town unspecified, was arrested on view on charges of driving while impaired and driving without an operator’s license. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 15 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
Nov. 2
Damage to property was reported on the 200 block of Archie Carroll Road in Boone. The victim reported a person pulling up the mail box post and throwing it over the embankment.
Damage to property was reported at a residence on the 600 block of Friendship Church Road in Boone. The victim reported people fighting inside the home, breaking a glass shelf with several glass and porcelain items on it and damaging the screen door.
Breaking and entering was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Carlin Court in Boone. The victim reported the back door of the home had been pried open.
Angela Marie McNair, 22, of 165 Summit Woods Drive, Apt. C9, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of harassing phone calls. She is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 3 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Nov. 3
Michael Gomez Rodriguez, 21, of 165 Martin Lane, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear in district court on a charge of driving while license revoked. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Nov. 25 in lieu of a secured $1,000 bond.
Kenneth Timothy Staufer, 38, of 314 Meadowview Drive, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of assault inflicting serious injury. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 15 in lieu of an unsecured $750 bond.
Bryan Keith Teague, 34, of 346 Daniel Drive, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of assault and battery. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 3 in lieu of a written promise bond.
An incident of fraud was reported at a residence on the 700 block of Kimberly Lane in Boone. The victim reported a person using his/her address without permission.
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on the 6000 block of N.C. 194 on Boone. The victim reported a person entering the home with the use of force and removed a monitor heater, valued at $600.
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on the 100 block of Corbett McNeil Road in Deep Gap. The victim reported a person entered the home with the use of force and removed a computer and prescription medication.
Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and damage to property were reported on the 200 block of Corbett McNeil Road in Deep Gap. The victim reported a person broke into a vehicle, damaging the door.
Tuan Ngoc Nguyen, 36, of 95 18th Ave NW, Hickory, was arrested on view on charges of reckless driving, operating a vehicle without insurance, and speeding (95 mph in a 45 mph zone). He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 3 in lieu of a secured $600 bond.
Nov. 4
Megan Kathleen Hall, 42, of 20881 Wild Cat Road, Estero, Fla., was arrested on view on charges of driving while impaired, driving while license revoked, possession of an open container of alcohol in the passenger area, failure to stop at a solid red light and felony habitual DWI charge. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 3 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
Breaking and entering was reported at a residence on the 300 block of Mountain View Church Road in Deep Gap. The victim reported a person entered the home without the use of force.
Breaking and entering and larceny was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Alex Wellborn Road in Deep Gap. The victim reported a person removed a piece of wood that covered a window to gain access to the home. Two acoustic and two electric guitars and an amplifier were reported stolen.
A resident of Locust Gap Road in Sugar Grove reported a wallet lost.
Nov. 5
Gabriel Enrique Tomas, 29, of 180 Bluebird Lane, Boone, was arrested on view on a charge of driving while license revoked. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 15 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
Nov. 6
Zachary Austin Brown, 21, of 224-A Yosef Drive, Boone, was arrested on view on a charge of driving while impaired. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 15 in lieu of a written promise bond.
John William Perry, 29, of 412 Lake Forest Drive, Wilkes, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear in district court in Guilford County. He is placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court in Greensboro on Jan. 9 in lieu of a secured $1,000 bond.
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on the 1900 block of Deerfield Road in Boone. The victim reported a person entered a storage building and removed several tools and a Weed Eater.
Damage to property was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Linville Creek Road, town unspecified. The victim reported a person spraying red paint onto the house and deck.
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on the 1200 block of Milton Moretz Road in Boone. The victim reported a person forced entry to the front of the home and stole a 42-inch LCD television, a Direct TV receiver and a DVD player.
Nov. 7
David Brandon Clontz, 22, of 278 Robin Lane, Vilas, was arrested on view on charges of driving while impaired and speeding. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 15 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on the 100 block of Carlin Court in Boone. The victim reported a person entered the home and stole a black tote bag containing cigarettes, a bottle of liquor and court documents.
Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, larceny and fraud were reported at a residence on the 100 block of Youngs Drive in Boone. The victim reported a person entering the vehicle without the use of force and removed a personal check, which was later used.
John Kuyk Shephard III, 28, of 200 Spruce St., Boone, was arrested on view on a charge of driving while impaired. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 15 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Blue Jay Drive in Boone. The victim reported a 1992 white Honda Accord stolen.
Breaking and entering, larceny and communicating threats were reported at a residence on the 800 block of Greystone Drive in Boone. The victim reported a person entered the home and stole a baseball card, valued at $10,000.
An incident of communicating threats was reported at a residence on the 100 block of H. Stanley Miller Road in Deep Gap. The victim reported receiving threatening text messages.
Damage to property was reported at a home on the 800 block of Rainbow Mountain Road in Boone. The victim reported the rear bumper of a vehicle damaged.
Harassment by telephone was reported by a resident of MDM Drive in Sugar Grove. The victim reported receiving multiple calls for a person who does not live at the address.
