sheriff’s reports:

Oct. 25
Michael Thomas Peterson, 17, of 135 Milligan Ave., Johnson City, Tenn., was arrested on view on charges of possessing and/concealing weapons (knife). He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 15 in lieu of a $30,000 secured bond.

Oct. 26
Jose Gonzalez, 21, of Martin Lane, Boone, was arrested on view on charges of driving under the influence, felony possession of cocaine and carrying a concealed gun. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 15 in lieu of a $5,570 bond.

Oct. 27
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on the 400 block of Penley Road in Boone. The victim reported a person entered the home, damaging the front door and two windows. Prescription medication and stereo equipment were reported stolen. A dresser and a kitchen table were also reported damaged.

Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, larceny and damage to property were reported at a residence on the 3700 block of Samspon Road in Lenoir. The victim reported a person broke into a 2007 Hyundai Tucson, damaging the rear passenger window, and stole a Winchester .22 rifle and a small propane tank.

Larceny was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Darby Court in Boone. The victim reported a license plate was stolen from a vehicle.

An incident of breaking and entering was reported at a residence on the 300 block of Russell Beach Road, Vilas. The victim reported a person had pried open the front door of the home.

Larceny was reported at a residence on the 2100 block of Meat Camp Road in Boone. The victim reported a person unlocked a vehicle door with the use of force and removed a Game Boy with games, a digital camera and an assorted tool set.

Oct. 28
Jaime Macias Rodriguez, 27, of 117 Martin Lane, Apt. B, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at two scheduled court dates, one on charges of driving while license revoked and failure to wear a seat belt, and a second on charges of driving while impaired and driving while license revoked. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Nov. 17 in lieu of secured $1,500 and $3,000 bonds.

Brandy Dawn Browles, 27, of 215 Elk Lane, Deep Gap, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date. She is scheduled to appear in district court on Nov. 25 in lieu of a $200 secured bond.

Larceny was reported at a residence on the 1100 block of Oliver Hill Road in Banner Elk. The victim reported a Smith and Wesson .38 handgun stolen from a bedside table.

An assault was reported in the parking lot of the Henson Chapel United Methodist Church. The victim reported a person attempted to strike them with a vehicle.

A handgun was reported found at the intersection of Slabtown Road and Mabel School Road in Zionville.

Roy Nathaniel Bowling, 18, of 264 East Residence Hall, ASU, Boone, was arrested on view on charges of misdemeanor larceny and possession of stolen goods. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 3 in lieu of a $500 secured bond.

Austin Ramsey Lankford, 18, of 210 Windy Drive, Boone, was arrested on view on charges of misdemeanor larceny and possession of stolen goods. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 3 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.

Larceny was reported on property near the intersection of Deck Hill Road and Payne Branch Road in Boone.

A camoglage Ameri-Step Doghouse ground blind stand, used for hunting, was reported stolen.

Oct. 29
Reymundo Basilio-Morales, 20, of 120 Dovick Lane, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date in Avery County. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court in Newland on Dec. 12 in lieu of a $1,500 bond.

Curtis Len Moore, 41, of 337 Junaluska Road, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear in district court at a scheduled court date. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court in Wilkes County on Nov. 26 in lieu of a $3,000 secured bond.

Oct. 30
An incident of stalking was reported in the parking lot of the Watauga County Rescue Squad. The victim reported a person following he or she to a vehicle and grabbing them.

An accident was reported in the detention center visitation room. A person reportedly slid off a visitation stool.

Allie Rose Ulmer, 17, of 3347 Phillips Branch Road, Vilas, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of assault and battery. She is scheduled to appear in district court on Nov. 17.

Nora Kathryn Nolen, 52, of 112 Blue Bonnet Drive, Boone, was served with an order for arrest on two charges of incest out of Mecklenburg County. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in superior court in Charlotte on Nov. 17 in lieu of a secured $75,000 bond.

Bradley Scott Parker, 32, of 417 Licklog Road, Newland, was served with a warrant for arrest on nine charges of failure to pay taxes. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 3 in lieu of a written promise bond.

Oct. 31
The unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported at a business on the 5500 block of U.S. 421 in Vilas.

Main Motor Sales reported a person test driving a blue Jeep Cherokee and not returning it to the business.

Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on the 100 block of Isaacs Road in Vilas. The victims reported a person entering the home and removing multiple pieces of jewelry and two firearms.

Trespassing and assault were reported at a residence on the 300 block of Daniel Drive in Boone. A person entered the property without permission and was struck.


Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on the 11 block of Lynn Hill Road, Boone.

The victim reported her ex-husband changed the locks on a home in order to gain entry without permission.

An incident of fraud was reported by a resident of South Slope Road in Banner Elk. The victim reported receiving and cashing a fraudulent check in the amount of $2,870.
