Near head-on
crash injures three
A near head-on collision injured three Saturday evening.
Suzanne Henline, 18, of Spruce Pine, was traveling southbound in a 2004 Ford Focus on U.S. 321 south of Blowing Rock near Falcon Crest at approximately 4:40 p.m.
Henline crossed the center line and struck a 2009 GMC Yukon, driven by Gary Allan Eads, 52, of York, S.C.
Henline was airlifted by WINGS Air Rescue to Johnson City Area Medical Center. She is listed in fair condition.

Eads and his passenger, Titus Eads, 22, of Gray, Tenn., were both transported by Watauga Medics to Watauga Medical Center, where they were treated and released.
A dog was in the vehicle driven by Eads but was uninjured. Blowing Rock Fire & Rescue placed the dog with a community member willing to care for the pet until the owners were released from the hospital later that evening.
Caldwell County Emergency Services also responded to the scene.
Investigating officer N.C. Highway Patrol trooper B.N. Hyatt said Henline would be cited for driving left of center.
All those involved were wearing seatbelts and the airbags deployed in both vehicles.
