Breaking news:
LSU-App State football game moved to 10 a.m.

The LSU Appalachian State football game is now scheduled for 10 a.m. (11 a.m. in N.C.) Saturday, LSU and governor’s office officials decided today. The game is being moved up from 4 p.m. because of safety concerns from potential evacuations from both the New Orleans and southwestern Louisiana areas, said LSU System spokesman Charles Zewe. There will be no pre-game activities, he said.

General Moore on the road

The General Moore has headed to Baton Rouge, La., for the season opener for the Mountaineers when they take on LSU. The General just came into creation during the past four weeks when Phillip Washburn and Matt Capehart General Contractors from Boone bought the car. Within this time frame, they have painted and decaled the car from front to back in honor of the Mountaineers and coach Jerry Moore. “Showing their dedication to the Mountaineers and proud of it, they headed to LSU Thursday evening to share this beauty with the ‘Kittens’ at LSU,” a spokesperson for the company said. “They plan on taking this car to all the home games and all of the away games they most possibly can.”
