July 10
Kimberly S. Baker, 32, of 310 Meadowhill Drive Apt. A, Boone, pleaded guilty to filing a false police report. A prayer for judgment continued was granted and Baker was assessed court costs.

Timothy Conklin Blake, 20, of 944 19th Ave. NW, Hickory, pleaded guilty to reckless driving to endanger. A prayer for judgment continued was granted.

Ernest Ross Brown, 45, of 180 Russell Beach Road, Vilas, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia. A prayer for judgment continued was granted. A charge of possession of an open alcohol container in the passenger area of a vehicle was dismissed.

Thomas Scott Church, 44, of 190 Daniel Boone Drive, Boone, pleaded guilty to reckless driving to endanger and speeding. He was assessed court costs and a $25 fine. A charge of reckless driving with wanton disregard was dismissed.

Brandon Kay Coffey, 20, of 142 Monteagle Drive, Boone, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor larceny. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended, 12 months unsupervised probation, and assessed court costs and a $100 fine.

Michael Lee Foley, 25, of 630 Lois Lane, Banner Elk, pleaded guilty to attempted breaking and entering. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended, 24 months unsupervised probation, 48 hours community service and assessed court costs.


A charge of shoplifting was dismissed against Richard Ingram Hegenbart, 18, of 229 Mission Drive Box 19, Russellville, Ariz., due to compliance with conditions previously set by the court.


Charles Lee Hicks, 56, of 442 Ralph Wilson Road, Vilas, pleaded guilty to driving while license revoked, two registration violations, and one charge of driving while license revoked was reduced to failure to notify DMV of an address change. A prayer for judgment continued was granted and Hicks was assessed $75 in fines.

Additional charges of two counts of driving while license revoked and a registration violation were dismissed.

A charge of misdemeanor larceny Amy Christine Jones, 21, of 1227 Chastain Drive, Raleigh, was dismissed due to compliance with conditions previously set by the court.

Shelia Darren Kamp, 47, of 302 W. King St., Boone, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and concealment of goods. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended, 24 months unsupervised probation, and assessed a $100 fine and court costs.


Charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol by an underage person were dismissed against Alice Winifred Kent, 20, of 115 Clarion Ave., Decatur, Ga., due to compliance with conditions previously set by the court.

A charge of injury to personal property was dismissed against Coburn James Mahoney, 18, of 987 Little Laurel Road, Boone, due to compliance with conditions previously set by the court.

A charge of attempted larceny was dismissed against Paul Dillon Minnix, 16, of 100 Indian Trail, Beech Mountain, due to compliance with conditions previously set by the court.


Elizabeth Smith, 27, of 264 Ed Downs Road, Casar, pleaded guilty to larceny by changing a price tag. She was assessed a $50 fine.


Stephen Oliver Wade, 56, of 300 Abbotsford Court, Charlotte, pleaded guilty to reckless driving to endanger. A prayer for judgment continued was granted.


Timothy William Watson, 19, of 142 Monteagle Drive, Boone, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor larceny. He was assessed a $50 fine.

Jamel Mandela Guerrero-Gow, 21, of 686 Old U.S. 421, Sugar Grove, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol by an underage person and possession with intent to sell and/or deliver marijuana was reduced to misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He was also found guilty of driving while impaired. He was sentenced to a total of 30 days in jail, suspended, four judgments of 24 months supervised probation each, and 140 hours of community service. Charges of felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, driving after consuming alcohol while underage and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for purposes related to a controlled substance were dismissed.

Randy Eugene Isaacs, 49, of 172 Huffman Road, Vilas, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana up to one half ounce. He was assessed a $100 fine and court costs.

Justin Heyes Livesey, 21, of 307 Wood Circle, Boone, pleaded guilty to injury to real property and possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to two judgments of 24 months supervised probation each and ordered to pay restitution to be determined by the probation officer. Charges of manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana up to one half ounce, possessions of drug paraphernalia and three additional charges of injury to personal property were dismissed.

July 11
Justin Heyes Livesey, 21, of 419 South Academy St., Mooresville, was found guilty of driving while impaired. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended, 36 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, and assessed court costs, a $200 fine and $200 in community service fees.
