Pioneers make a call to arms
For the most part, Watauga returns a veteran baseball team for the 2009 season. Several position players return, including All-Northwestern 4-A catcher Adam Church, all-league shortstop Cal Hardee, all-league center fielder Baine Martin, second baseman Chris Shelton, right fielder Trey Lowder, left fielder Austin Story and a host of players who either was in the starting lineup, or were role players last year.
