June 8
Anthony Scott Hopkins, 21, of 1581 Shulls Mill Road, Boone, was arrested on view on charges of driving while impaired and left of center. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on July 10 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Larceny was reported on the 100 block of Alpine Acres Road in Vilas. Two Mac laptops, valued at $2,000 each, and one iPod, valued at $250, were reported stolen.
Damage to property was reported on the 100 block of Clayton Hicks Drive in Sugar Grove. The victim reported multiple gunshots were fired at a trailer, causing $1,000 in damage.
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on the 500 block of Jone Drive in Boone. Several items including kitchenware, toys, food and baby items were reported stolen.
Janice Sue Pasch, 63, of 761 Sherwood Road, Vilas, was arrested on view on charges of driving while impaired and an open container violation. She is scheduled to appear in district court on July 10.
June 9
Kisha Nicole Greene, 34, of 392 Morningside Drive, Blowing Rock, was served with an order for arrest on a charge of probation violation. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and was scheduled to appear in district court on June 11 in lieu of a $5,000 cash bond.
Kimberly Arnold Lafever, 31, of 480 Diamond Ranch Road, town unspecified, was served with an order for arrest on charges of felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is scheduled to appear in Morganton superior court on July 7 in lieu of a $3,000 unsecured bond.
Randy Jack Davis, 36, of 743 Modock Road, Trade, Tenn., was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of failure to appear at a scheduled court date, felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana up to one half ounce. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on July 22 and July 29 in lieu of a $35,000 secured bond.
Damage to personal property was reported on the 3500 block of N.C. 194 South in Valle Crucis. A sign post was damaged when struck by a vehicle.
Larceny of auto parts and damage to personal property were reported on the 2100 block of Hardin Road in Boone. A radiator and stereo system were reported stolen from a 1992 Subaru.
Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny were reported at the intersection of N.C. 421 South and Bynum Trivette Road. The victim reported a window had been broken out of the vehicle and multiple tools were reported stolen.
Damage to property was reported at a parking lot off Clint Norris Road in Boone. The victim reported a vehicle had been scratched along the passenger side.
June 10
Dustin Codey Moore, 22, of 1268 Roby Greene Road, Boone, was served with an order for arrest on charges of failure to appear at a scheduled court date. He is scheduled to appear in Greensboro district court on June 27 in lieu of a $150 cash bond.
Christopher Todd Leonard, 43, of 190A Laurel Reach Lane, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He is scheduled to appear in district court on July 10 in lieu of a $500 unsecured bond.
Michael Stacey James May, 29, of 887 Slabtown Road, Zionville, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of unauthorized use of motor vehicle. He is scheduled to appear in district court on July 22 in lieu of a $500 unsecured bond.
Bobby Allen Presnell, 23, of 7016 Rominger Road, Sugar Grove, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of cyberstalking and stalking. He is scheduled to appear in district court on July 11 in lieu of a $1,000 unsecured bond.
Drronda L. Akers, 34, of 302 W. King St., Boone, was served with an order for arrest on a charge of failure to appear at a scheduled court appearance. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and was scheduled to appear in Lenoir district court on June 13 in lieu of a $1,475 cash bond.
Larceny of gasoline was reported at a business on the 4400 block of U.S. 421 North in Vilas. A person drove off without paying for $46.50 worth of gasoline.
Suspicious activity was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Cabin Cove Road in Zionville. The victim reported persons opening mailboxes and scattering mail on the ground.
Larceny of a canine was reported by a resident of 1300 Friendship Church Road in Boone. The victim reported a dog had not been returned to the owner.
Larceny was reported on the 400 block of Slabtown Road in Zionville. The victim reported a video game console and game were stolen.
June 11
Michael Vantus Rumbough Jr., 31, of 229 Pebble Lane, Todd, was arrested on view on charges of driving while license revoked and providing fictitious information to an officer. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on July 22 in lieu of a $1,000 secured bond.
Damage to property was reported at a residence on the 800 block of N.C. 194 North in Boone. A table, storm door and plant pot were reported stolen.
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on the 400 block of Howard Harmon Road in Sugar Grove. The victim reported multiple appliances, windows and bathroom fixtures, valued at a total of $19,900, were stolen from within the both home and an outbuilding.
June 12
Octavio Olvera, 28, of 103 Rocky Lane, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on assault on a female, harassing phone calls, assault inflicting serious injury, communicating threats and sexual battery. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on July 10 in lieu of a $5,000 secured bond.
A resident of Ward Greene Road in Vilas reported a missing credit card.
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on the 2000 block of Broadstone Road in Valle Crucis. The victim reported an unknown quantity of miscellaneous food items were stolen.
Damage to property was reported on Bairds Creek Road in Valle Crucis. The victim reported a vehicle was struck by a golf ball.
