May 26
Dominque Dore Piscopo, 26, of 469 Willard Johnson Road, Vilas, was served with a criminal summons on a charge of a school attendance violation. She is scheduled to appear in district court on June 10.

Myles Kenneth Stump, 44, of 2588 U.S. 321 South Apt. 1, Boone, was served with an order for arrest on a charge of failure to appear at a scheduled court appearance. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on June 9 in lieu of a $500 secured bond.


A domestic disturbance and assault on a female were reported on the 100 block of The Glade Road.


Todd Anthony Morris, 29, of 107 The Glade Road, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of assault on a female and communicating threats. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and was scheduled to appear in district court on June 11.

Larceny was reported on the 1300 block of Brownwood Road, town unspecified. The victim reported a lock was cut off a gate and a storage trailer containing three chainsaws, a weed eater, water pump with hose and fittings, and 12 gallons of gas were stolen.

Larceny was reported on the 800 block of Mabel School Road in Zionville. The victim reported a person entered the home, distracted them and stole a purse containing cash, credit cards, identification and keys.

Marion Kilgore, 30, of 326 Brownfarm Road, Boone, was served with a criminal summons on a charge of a school attendance violation. She is scheduled to appear in district court on June 30.

May 27
Breaking and entering and second degree trespassing were reported on the 100 block of Hensels Lane in Boone. The victim reported a person walked into the home, was asked to leave and walked into the home a second time without permission.


Breaking and entering and larceny were reported on the 1200 block of Payne Branch Road, town unspecified. The victim reported a person entering a home under construction and removing several tools, with a total value of $1,267.


Joshua Bumgarner, 24, of 1580 Mountain Dale Road, Vilas, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of injury to real property and communicating threats. He is scheduled to appear in district court on June 30 in lieu of an unsecured $500 bond.

Freddie Len Shook, 56, of 244 Devils Den Road, Banner Elk, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear in district court to face charges of driving while license revoked, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana up to one half ounce. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and was scheduled to appear in district court on June 6 in lieu of a $750 secured bond.


Don Stephen Sutton Jr., 41, address listed as camping out near Snaggy Mountain, was arrested on view on charges of breaking and entering and second degree trespassing. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on June 30 in lieu of a $2,000 secured bond.

Barry Lee Oliver, 43, of 298 Smith Isaacs Road, Zionville, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of assault on a female. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on June 30.

Judy Blackwell Craven, 56, of 4384 Midas Bolick Road, Lenoir, was served with an order for arrest on a charge of embezzlement. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on July 24 in lieu of a $3,000 secured bond.

Larceny was reported at a residence on the 300 block of West King Street. The victim reported a video game console, games, and accessories were stolen.


Domestic violence was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Pebble Lane in Todd.

May 28
Larceny was reported from a motor vehicle on the 200 block of Blue Bird Lane in Boone. The victim reported an air compressor valued at $250 stolen.

Eric Allen Hanyon, 29, of 326 Browns Farm Road, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear in district court to face charges of driving while license revoked and an improper muffler. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on July 15 in lieu of a $550 cash bond.

David Aaron Grig, 32, of 855 Burgess Road, Jefferson, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of injury to real property. He is scheduled to appear in district court on June 30 in lieu of a $500 unsecured bond.

Fraud was reported at a business on the 2000 block of Deerfield Road in Boone. The victim reported a person using their credit card number for a $1,700 purchase.


Larceny was reported at a business on the 100 block of the Poplar Grove Connector. The victim reported a bicycle, valued at $150, was stolen from a bicycle rack.

Injury to personal property was reported on Rhymers Branch Road, town unspecified. The victim reported a person killed their dog.

May 29
Larceny was reported by a resident of Sassyfrass Road in Boone. The victim reported a person removed the registration sticker from the license plate of a vehicle.

Damage to property was reported on the 2600 block of U.S. 321 North. The victim reported a piece of asphalt striking the vehicle, breaking the front windshield.

May 30
Identity fraud was reported by a resident of Old Rose Drive in Sugar Grove. The victim reported a person using personal information to apply for miscellaneous credit cards.

Larceny of an automobile was reported at a parking lot on Deep Gap Drive in Deep Gap. A teal 1994 Subaru Legacy, valued at $500, was reported stolen.

Tammy Bare Miller, 38, of 215 Mt. View Church Road, Deep Gap, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of second degree trespassing. She is scheduled to appear in district court on July 10 in lieu of a written promise bond.

David Lee Coe, 22, of 302 West King St., Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of being a fugitive from justice on charges from Tennessee. He is scheduled to appear in district court on June 30 in lieu of a $5,000 unsecured bond.

A resident of Stewart Simmons Road in Deep Gap reported a lost cell phone.

Jeffrey David Miller, 35, of 141 Scotts Drive, Boone, was served with an order for arrest on charges of financial card theft and financial card fraud. He is scheduled to appear in district court on July 24 in lieu of an unsecured $5,000 bond.

Kevin Lee Hines, 48, of 302 West King St., Boone, was served with an order for arrest on a charge of probation violation. He is scheduled to appear in district court on June 17 in lieu of a $10,000 secured bond.
Ashley Ann Wallace, 22, of 473 Kenneth B. Brown Road, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on June 23 in lieu of a $4,500 secured bond.

May 31
Damage to property was reported at a business on Bairds Creek Road in Vilas. The victim reported a golf cart had sustained $1,000 worth of damage.

Damage to property was reported in the parking lot of the Watauga County Public Library. The victim reported a person intentionally pushing over a scooter, causing $100 in damage.


Larceny was reported at a residence on Ball Branch Road in Boone. The victim reported loading binders, valued at $225, were stolen.

Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at a residence on Old Anderson Quarry Road in Vilas. The victim reported a person entering the home and stealing an assortment of jewelry.

Damage to property and larceny were reported at a residence on Quail Ridge Lane in Boone. The victim reported two tires had been cut on a vehicle and a digital camera stolen from inside the home.

Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported at a residence on the 2700 block of U.S. 412 North in Boone. The victim reported a 1993 white Ford Explorer, valued at $500, was loaded on a trailer and removed from the property.

June 1
Kristy Lovella Orr, 36, of 1330 Brownwood Road, Deep Gap, was served with an order for arrest on a charge of failure to appear at scheduled court date. She is scheduled to appear in district court on June 13 in lieu of a $601.63 cash bond.

Tashi Nicole Lee, 18, of 362 Vannoy Lane, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of communicating threats. She is scheduled to appear in district court on July 10 in lieu of a written promise bond.


Russell Hal Daniels, 27, of 467 U.S. 321 North, Vilas, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He is scheduled to appear in district court on July 10 in lieu of a written promise bond.

An incident of breaking and entering was reported at a residence on the 400 block of U.S. 321 North in Vilas. The victim reported a person entered the home through a side door or rear window.


A lost or stolen wallet was reported by a resident of Peacock Road in Chadburn. The victim reported a wallet was lost, an individual reported finding the wallet, then denied finding it. Identification cards, financial cards and $850 in cash were reported to be in the wallet.
