Black Knights lance Watauga 11-4 in playoffs

The scouting reports that Watauga had on No. 2-ranked North Davidson were pretty accurate.
North Davidson showed the Pioneers that indeed, they can hit the ball, particularly fastballs, pretty well. It’s also a bad idea to make mistakes, such as walks and errors, against the Black Knights.
North Davidson also proved that its infield, particularly up the middle, is very good and pitcher Zach White may not necessarily throw 90 miles per hour, but he is still effective in getting batters out.
The Black Knights can also score runs, be it with line drives to the outfield or by taking advantage of Watauga gifts. North Davidson eventually, with the help of a six-run second inning, powered past Watauga with a 11-4 win Friday night at Knights Stadium in the third round of the state 4-A baseball tournament.
