Suspect arrested in

connection with larceny

at Country Inn and Suites

Officers with the Boone Police Department Investigations Division have made an arrest in connection with a larceny at Country Inn and Suites located at 840 E. King Street which was reported on April 28.

Conesha Allison Jenkins, 20, of Boone was charged with one count of felonious larceny. It is alleged that Jenkins was employed as a housekeeper and stole a Rolex watch valued at $7,000, which had been left in a room by a guest. The watch has been recovered with the assistance of the Hickory Police Department.

Jenkins was taken before a Watauga County magistrate and placed on a $10,000 bond with a court date scheduled for June 30 in Watauga County District Court.
