Watauga sheriff’s reports:

April 13
Larceny was reported at a campground in Vilas. The victim reported their wallet was stolen from the bath house. The wallet contained multiple credit cards and identification.

Douglas Edward Dickerson II, 29, of 1495 Cobbs Creek Road, Boone, was served with a warrant for communicating threats, resisting or obstructing justice, and assault on a law enforcement officer. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 20 in lieu of a $1,500 secured bond.

April 14
Breaking and entering was reported at a residence on the 100 block of Cannon Drive in Boone. A person entered the home forcibly through both the door and side window.

Harassing phone calls were reported at a residence on the 5000 block of Bamboo Road in Boone. The victim reported a person calling and using foul language.

Andrew Stephen Worley, 21, of 534 Little Wilson Road, Mouth of Wilson, Va., was arrested on view for driving without two headlamps and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 14 in lieu of a $500 secured bond.

Jordan Tyler Brown, 20, of 239 Meadowbrook Lane, Deep Gap, was served with a warrant for arrest for assault on a female. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 20. No bond was set.

April 15
Larceny from a motor vehicle and breaking and entering of a motor vehicle were reported at a parking lot on the 100 block of Long Street in Boone. A lap top computer was reported stolen.

Injury to trees and plants was reported on Floral Lane in Seven Devils. A person poured motor oil on the roots of trees.

Melanie McGrath-Pippin, 29, of 195 Hemlock Road, Banner Elk, was served with a warrant for arrest for simple assault. She is scheduled to appear in district court on June 6.

April 16
Jamey Houston Dowless, 30, of 9071 U.S. 421, Trade, Tenn., was served with a warrant for simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 20 in lieu of a $7,000 secured bond.

Cassidy Treyneil McCorkle, 24, of 441 Jefferson Road, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date to face charges of assault on a female and simple assault. He is scheduled to appear in district court on May 19 in lieu of a $500 secured bond.

Larceny was reported at a business on the 700 block of George Wilson Road in Boone. The victim reported a catalytic converter had been stolen from a truck.

Thomas Burns Shelley III, 24, of 135 Clarence Newton Road, Blowing Rock, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 13 in lieu of a $1,000 secured bond.

Aniceto Hernandez Angeles, 41, of 1602 Maplewood Lane East, Greensboro, was arrested on view for driving without an operators license. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 20 in lieu of a secured $200 bond.


Joshua Edmund Seay, 29, of Charlotte, street address unlisted, was served with an order for arrest for a violation of a judge’s order. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 8 in lieu of a $2,000 bond.

Robert Luther Winkler, 45, of 309 Sterling Court, Severville, Tenn., was arrested on view for driving while impaired and speeding. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on June 6 in lieu of a $500 secured bond.

Daniel Jesus Garcia, 27, of 180 Hampton Trailer Court, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest for harassing phone calls. He is scheduled to appear in district court on May 8 in lieu of a written promise bond.

April 17
Rafeal Luna Reyes, also known as Jose Reyes Golicia, 31, of 196 Monteagle Lane, Boone, was arrested on view on charges of driving while license revoked, unsafe movement, resisting public officer and open container after consuming. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on June 6 in lieu of a $1,000 secured bond.

Laurel Allison West, 21, of 166 Autumn Ridge Lane, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest for defrauding an innkeeper. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 20 in lieu of a $750 secured bond.

Elizabeth Sterling Hinton, 19, of 217 Edgecliff Lane Apt. 5, town unspecified, was arrested on view for simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on June 6 in lieu of a $2,500 secured bond.

Travis James Berry, 25, of 199 Howard St., Boone, was arrested on view for driving while impaired, left of center, and failure to comply with license restrictions. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 8 in lieu of a $300 secured bond.


Shawn Marvin Thomas Lambert, 30, of 186 Autumn Ridge Road, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest as a fugitive of justice. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 20 in lieu of a $50,000 secured bond.

Larceny and breaking and entering were reported at a residence on the 200 block of Old Hartley Road in Banner Elk. A person entered the residence without the use of force and removed multiple items, including a plasma television, two computers, a gas grill, game console and games, a snow blower and household items such as blankets, cups and hand tools. The total value was estimated at $7,650.

Larceny was reported at a residence on the 300 block of Cowboy Trail in Deep Gap. A blue, two seat go-cart was reported stolen, valued at $550.

Damage to personal property was reported at a residence on the 2800 block of Junaluska Road in Boone. A mailbox was damaged beyond repair.


Christie Ann Holder, 28, of 417 Poplar Ridge Drive, was arrested on view for driving while impaired and speeding, 62 mph in a 45 mph zone. She is scheduled to appear in district court on June 6 in lieu of a written promise bond.
