Watauga sheriff’s reports:

April 11
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 700 block of Clint Norris Road in Boone. Medications, Phenagren and Loratab, were reported stolen from the medicine cabinet.

Larceny and breaking and entering were reported at a residence on the 100 block of Poplar Creek Estates Drive in Todd. The victim reported medication, generic Loratabs, were stolen from a vehicle.

Fraud was reported at a construction site on the 100 block of Bearpaw Path in Beech Mountain. The victim reported that another had not fulfilled a building contract. The cost was listed as $97,734.98.

Zane Graves Ward, 23, of 333 Robe Shull Road, Mountain City, Tenn., was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date. He is scheduled to appear in district court on May 8 in lieu of a $1,000 unsecured bond.

Douglas Edward Dickerson II, 29, of 1495 Cobbs Creek Road, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of assault on a government official, resist, delay or obstruction of justice, injury to personal property, and as a habitual misdemeanor assault. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 20 in lieu of a $8,000 secured bond.

Nicholas David Gray, 23, of 101 Woodpecker Lane, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on three felony counts of possession with intent to sell and/or deliver a schedule II controlled substance, three felony counts of selling and/or delivering a schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for purposes related to a controlled substance, and conspiracy to sell and/or deliver a schedule II controlled substance. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on June 6 in lieu of a $300,000 bond.

April 12
Mark Stephen Moretz, 37, of 294 Woodland Drive, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest for two felony counts of possession with intent to sell and/or deliver methamphetamine, simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 20 in lieu of a $75,000 secured bond.

Damage to property was reported at a business on U.S. 321 in Vilas. The victim reported the paint on the hood of a vehicle had been damaged. The cost was estimated at $300.

Gregory Daniel Freeman, 27, of 140 Appalachian St., Boone, was arrested on view on charges of simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for purposes related to a controlled susbtance.

He was placed in the Watauga County Jail and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 20 in lieu of a $500 secured bond.

Simun Reece Jones, 23, of 352 Old East King St. Apt. 10, Boone, was arrested on view on charges of simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 20 in lieu of a $500 secured bond.
